Citrusy hop aroma. Nice golden color with good clarity. Balanced malt to hop which balances the boundaries of a hop. Light lingering bitterness and nicely carbonated for the flavor. West coast style. Pailhead (6543) - Rochester Hills, Michigan, USA - JUL 15, 2012
Bottle: The aroma has moderate-heavy orange, light lemon, grapefruit, and a hint of caramel. It pours a hazy golden-orange with lots of sediment. It has a three finger off-white head that leaves behind some nice webbing on the sides of the glass. The flavor starts with and even mixture of citrus (mostly orange) and caramel. The finish has light-moderate grapefruit and a touch of lemon. It’s light-medium bodied with soft carbonation and mouthfeel. Overall, this is a really flavor and well balanced Pale Ale. I’ll definitely be picking up some more of this for the summer. It’s been awhile since Arbor impressed me with something new in a bottle. mallons72 (208) - livonia, Michigan, USA - NOV 9, 2012

12 ounce bottle into pint glass, no bottle dating. Pours lightly hazy golden orange color with a 2 finger dense and rocky off white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice dense soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, lemon zest, orange peel, light pine, caramel, toasted bread, and floral/grassy earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of juicy citrus hops and moderate malt sweetness; with good strength. Taste of grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, lemon zest, orange peel, pine, caramel, toasted bread, and floral/grassy earthiness. Fair amount of pine/grassy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, lemon/orange zest, pine, caramel, toasted bread, and floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice complexity and balance of juicy citrus hops and moderate malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, crisp, and fairly sticky mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a very nice pale ale style. All around good complexity and balance of juicy citrus hops and moderate malt flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A very enjoyable offering. Taster on tap at HopCat in East Lansing. Mostly clear golden color. Thin white head, good spread of thicker lace. Medium body. Smooth crisp lighter carbonation. Good bigger spicy citrusy hop profile, light biscuity malt. Bigger bitter taste. Light hint of zesty sweetness. Awesome hoppy assertive pale ale.

Refrigerated 12 oz. brown bottle poured into an English pint glass. Hazy golden with huge white head. Aroma is herbal hops, medium body, medium carbonation, and thick medium-bubble lacing. Taste is citrus hops, herbal hops, and pale malts. Quite good pale ale. rocbyter (2143) - Waterbury, Connecticut, USA - FEB 1, 2015
Fresh hop aroma with light malt. Clear golden color with a large white head. Moderately bitter throughout BigBeer45 (1557) - Michigan, USA - JUN 29, 2012
Sampled from a bottle purchased at Champanes,
this beer poured a hazy gold-orange with burnt orange color at the edges of the glass and made a four finger white and faint off-white head that receded to a thick billowing cover, the glass had generous carbonation, it left nice spots and rings of lacing,
this ale had aromas of orange fruit, citrus and faint floral hops, faint toasted malt, there was some malt and fruit sweetness,
it had flavors of citrus and light grassy hops with light toasted malt and fruit, there was some sweetness but the hops overshadowed it,
the finish had a good hop bitterness to dry the palate,
the mouth feel was light and creamy, and there was lots of carbonation on the tongue,
a good APA.

Yellow gold color out of the bottle with a huge, frothy white head. Very effervescent beer. Light spritzy, lemony nose. Lemon peel and some bitter orange peel hop flavors with some light toast underneath. Long red grapefruit peel finish. Okay pale. koleminer20 (3840) - Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA - OCT 20, 2013
12 oz bottle. Pours a hazy gold with a thick white head, that fades to a nice film on the top of the beer. The lacing is thick and beautiful. The aroma is heavy on hops, with citrus and piney notes, a little more hoppy than I'd expect out of a low ABV pale ale. The flavor is also quite hoppy, but I'd like the citrus and piney notes to come through a little more than they do. The finish is light, smooth, and dry
