Massive in every way, B-Craft delivers a complex bundle of flavors with a citrus hop aroma strong enough to make a billy goat shake his head. Moving past the huge hop aroma, rich and roasted malt flavors of chocolate and coffee move forward only to be checked by an impressive hop bitterness. Texture and flavor dance together so seamlessly that you may need to remind yourself that while this beer slides down like a session, it delivers like an assassin!” bwa5879 (942) - Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA - APR 28, 2012
On tap at Arcadia. Black appearance with slight brown hue and thin white head. Citrus-y flavor with full-bodied finish. Though last years batch was better, this is my favorite black IPA by a long shot. Smitty1994 (27) - Portage, Michigan, USA - NOV 17, 2012
Hands down one of my top 10 favorite beers. Complex citrus, hop and malt blend of flavors. All around great beer.

UPDATED: MAY 23, 2012 12 ounce bottle into tulip glass, bottled 4/24/2012. Pours almost pitch black dark brown color with a nice 2 finger tan head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Some nice soapy lacing on the glass. Aromas of big pine, grapefruit, orange rind, toast, roasted malt, herbal, earth, and light chocolate. Great aromas with big fresh hoppiness; and nice balance. Taste of big grapefruit, orange rind, pine, chocolate, roasted malt, caramel, toast, herbal, and earthy hops. Moderate citrus rind bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of grapefruit, orange rind, pine, chocolate, roasted malt, and herbal on the finish for a while. Fantastic balance of hop flavors with the roasted malt. Medium carbonation and medium-full bodied; with a fairly creamy and slightly slick mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with only a slight warming after the finish noticed. Overall this is a fantastic black IPA! Great hop and roasted malt flavor balance, and very smooth for 8.5%. Amazing stuff! SBMRL (2) - Livonia, Michigan, USA - MAY 28, 2012 does not count
A- lots citrus, floral, a little booze.
App- black with brownish red edging head is off white.
Taste- wow hops shine bright. Little bit of roasty chocolate notes citrus is very present.
Pal- med/heavy. Solid carbonation
Overall- awesome beer hops dominate but there’s still a touch of roastyness the aroma is great.

A nice smooth black bier with the extra hoppiness of a strong IPA. Black with some reddish tinting, thin head, but leaves a strong impression on the palate. Would be much better enjoyed in the winter months.... BREWMUSKCLES (2686) - New Jersey, USA - OCT 2, 2012
big beer indeed beautiful full spectrum hop aroma with malt and fermented tobacco that turns to alcohol. hops, soupy and brothy malt initially some rum turning to rubbing alcohol in some butter. a tiny bit of smoke. the beer is busy, the beer is demonstrative and the beer is exceptional! 574deadzone (1419) - North Central, Indiana, USA - SEP 9, 2012
Pours black with brown-ruby edges and a slight off-white cap that leaves some delicate lacing. Yeasty floaties are present, nice :) Nose involves some light coffee, alcohol vapors, some cocoa, licorice, caramel, maybe a touch of smokiness, and a blast of resinous piney hops. Taste is sharply bitter but quite sweet also. Palate is fuller, smooth, with a big bitterness on the tongue throughout leading to a lengthy finish. Really nice beer, maybe not as clean and hop forward as some black IPAs, but it works here with all the complexity and largeness of the body. A winner for me. paintedmaple (671) - People’s Republic of Bloomington, Indiana, USA - AUG 2, 2011
On tap at the French Laundry. Oh man, this is good. A fresh grassy, roasty flavor that was well balanced with a wonderful aroma. kdmcguire10 (18) - Grand Blanc, Michigan, USA - APR 19, 2012
Gorgeous black with a tinge of ruby when held to the light.
Dank grapefruit nose. Getting some tobacco notes. Unlike everything I’ve ever smelled. So intense for a Black IPA.
Taste is so unique. Hop citrus assault up front then you’re slapped on the back end like a stout almost (coffee, chocolate, and the tobacco).
Really nice texture and smooth finish. You don’t know the alcohol until you feel it at the end of your glass.
Home run from Arcadia. This should give them some recognition then deserve.
