Bottle 2010: pours brown with no head to speak of, aroma of caramel, flavor is caramel with a lot of sweetness, alcohol content evident, too much sweetness for balance, hard to finish this one.
12 oz bottle pours brown with a tan head. Aroma of dark fruit, molasses, caramel and vanilla. Taste is sweet caramel and fruit. mcmisko (358) - New York, USA - FEB 27, 2017
Aroma: not much to smell, nothing funky. Appearance: cloudy dark brown, no head . Taste: Toasted malts, ripe dark fruits, a little spice. Palate: Not overlly sweet, alchohol taste is hidden well. Good beer. One of the best barely wines Iíve had. ryecatcher (1434) - Bridgeport, Chicago, Illinois, USA - FEB 11, 2017
Bottle. Turbid, rusty-amber pour, medium off-white head with decent retention. Nose is sticky candy, stone fruit, figs, caramel, melon. Mouth is big and oily, medium bitterness cutting through a large sweet palette of caramel, fruit (oranges, figs, dates). Long day so Iím not really doing this justice, but itís a decent barleywine and Tony the tiger should be proud to share his town with Arcadia. Theyíre great! cobaink2 (670) - seattle, Washington, USA - FEB 4, 2017
Bottle from tavour vintage 2017. Pours a dark amber color. Nice for the style. Caramel is the outstanding flavor with some faint licorice and grape musT maybe a bit of vinegar. Quite nice on this young bottle. monk191 (1959) - Portland, Oregon, USA - FEB 3, 2017
A very nice barleywine. Pours a deep red with a tan head. Smells great, cereal and lots of strawberries and other berries. Taste is very berry fruit, strawberries, and bright candy, and cereal. Fizzy, bright, smooth finish. Paired with spicy shrimp stacks, the fruitiness is cut down a bit. Had in the bottle.

A fine brew though not the best barleywine Iíve had in the past. Nice aroma...appearance soso and aroma acceptable. Taste was pleasant and I wouldnít turn one down if offered in the future. LearninBeer (580) - Sterling Heights, Michigan, USA - OCT 13, 2016
The aroma is malty, caramel and a little molasses. Pours a cloudy dark brown/copper with an off white head mostly diminishing and excellent lacing. The taste is sweet and then a little bitter. The body is medium, the texture creamy, the carbonation lively and the finish long. Overall not bad, Iíve been frowning on barleywines of late, so this would probably be rated higher if I was more into barleywines.
