This Imperial IPA has an assertive aroma of sticky, resinous Summit hops. A complex flavor profile includes notes of grapefruit, lemon peel, and spruce. Though the flavor focus is on hops, a trio of malts provides a balance to the beer, creating a delicious level of palatability. Hints of caramel, toffee, and freshly-baked biscuits are also apparent in the flavor profile.

Bottle at a bar. This one came out of nowhere! Poured a golden slight cloudy colour with a white head. Aroma of tropical fruits, malts, citrus, slight end of resins, pines hops bitterness. Pretty enjoyable now in the sun

On tap at a crappy bar. Poured into a tall chalice into a bright golden color. Very clear and transparent. A sticky spotty lacing with a white smooth head. A slightly off aroma of sticky dank citrus hops. A thick coating sip of strong citrus hop flavors. Actually a the biggest flavor is a thick sticky strong honey. Not very bitter honestly. Just a potent citrus and moderate strong alcohol. Big honey overall citrus feel. Not horrible.

Tap. A clear golden pour. Aromas of citrus and flowery hops, orange, sweet malts, a touch of b.o. Sweet taste initially, but a medium to strong bitterness kicks in that lasts. Overly sweet, in my opinion. A bit syrupy/sticky. Medium+ bodied.

355 mL bottle. Beautiful looking beer. Clear golden with a big, fluffy, sticky white head. Fruity hops in the nose. A little on the mild side. The flavour is lovely, and more balanced than many others. Sweet citrus, resin and a little pine, with some honey from the malts. Bitterness is a touch light, and the alcohol is well hidden. A very drinkable IIPA.

I really wish there was a date on the bottle. Is this an 8 year old DIPA or a shitty DIPA or both? Buttery. Hoppy aroma but not in taste. Meh. Not retired. Not nutty. Im confused.

Horribly unbalanced honey and caramel. Terrible harsh aftertaste of rotten booze. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

bottle @ Party Town / Florence KY --- Slightly hazy medium amber, thin rim head, no lace. A very still Ale. Nice aroma of malt and hops. Taste is flat malt that turns into hops, but has no life (maybe this one is kaput). Add to that the strong alcohol presence, and this moves to my "not recommended" file. Maybe some other time...

355ml bottle. Cost a buck but looks like this is older.Boozy alcoholic hop perfume in the smell. Flavor is oxidized, some fruit notes, booze. Wonder how old htis is.

Bottle. Nose is rind, strong orange peel and paper, also this great candyish character that I dont find that often. Pour a deep but bright orange, still transparent with almost no carbonation, sudsy off-white head. Extremely oily medium body with strong alcohol heat and feel but not many fumes; medium bitterness just enough to match the medium-strong sweetness, but not cloying. Papery scratch in with light resin and a general sugary feel, herbal and forest character late-arriving with faint spice. Caramel weak, but simple malt is nice, if hidden under the booze. A sipper, for sure, but a nice one off the beaten path.
