Pours a clear orangish brown in color. A little bit of spice in the aroma but not overpowering. Taste is a little thin with some fall spice flavors but nothing out of the ordinary. Somewhat disappointing. MrBendo (1064) - Swedesboro, New Jersey, USA - SEP 29, 2007
Bottle. Hazy orange color with a small head. Aroma of light pie spices and sugary malt. SpudClampDawg (1029) - Jasper, Indiana, USA - SEP 24, 2008
It has no pumpkin in it, and doesn’t directly claim to. But I was fooled when I bought it because of the scary jack-o-lantern on the label. Maybe you think pumpkin beers are a waste, but beers that try to fool you into thinking they have pumpkin in them are the biggest farce of all.
12oz bottle: Crystal clear amber pour with a thinnish tan head. The nose is nicely balanced with the pie spices playing off the caramel sweetness of the malt. The body drinks like a lager, thin and refreshing, with notes of cinnamon, caramalized pumpkin and nutmeg. Finishes a bit chalky on the back of the tongue. A well balanced, drinkable brew but not something that is going to keep you warm during the cold months. Dacrza (1025) - Great Meadows, New Jersey, USA - OCT 22, 2015
DATE TASTED: October 22, 2015 ... GLASSWARE: Schneider Wiesen Edel-Weisse pokal... OCCASION: another good Thursday ends with some beer... APPEARANCE: lazy, hazy, off-white head that settles to a consistent halo; body is an orange-amber, equally hazy body with slight effervescence--a fitting, Autumnal view... AROMA: light gingerbread, nutmeg and pumpkin spices allure the nostrils; a wheaty clove spice... PALATE: thin, wheaty in consistency; smooth and easy drinking--a bit too easy?... TASTE: a mellow, blunted impact that belies the aroma; nutmeg and pumpkin spices are clearest, with cinnamon and allspice or pepper developing the profile into a larger-than-expected flavor experience; the lightness of body plays out in the flavor, allowing for a swift sipping and a reasonably enjoyable quality... OVERALL: not sure how to take this one at first, with its lightness exhibiting a wheat beer, its ABV upwards of an ale, and a taste that blend the two... intriguing enough to encourage another bottle--a possibility, but not a necessity...

From 12 oz bottle, clear orange copper color with almost no head on an aggressive pour. There is a lot of spice, I get cinnamon and nutmeg clearly, Medium body, slightly, oily, a tinge of spice bitterness, maybe from cinnamon. Malt is bread, similar to pumpkin pie, nutmeg and cinnamon. Interesting take on a ’pumpkin’ beer.

Smooth tasting seasonal ale. Draft from Vintage Estates, amber pour, white foam, decent lacing on the glass. Slight aroma of cinnamon slight pumpkin, light sweetness, light body, thin feel, average carbonation. What I really liked about this brew is the fact that the neither the spice nor the pumpkin flavor took over the taste of the beer. Hints of pumkin in aftwertaste, some spicy notes, but overall, that is what made this a good tasting, clean, crisp brew. bwa5879 (957) - Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA - OCT 14, 2014
Murky solid orange pour with dense but short offwhite head. Strong aroma of nutmeg and allspice, some cinnamon, sweet chai tea, faint hints of metallic noble hops too. Low carbonation, creamy mouthfeel, bitter but clean finish. Taste is similar to the aroma but stronger noble hop presence, noticeable ginger, yeast is present too and somewhat belgian, wheaty, banana. Well done but a bit sweet to call a favorite personally. punkrkr27 (903) - Berkley, Michigan, USA - OCT 20, 2009
Iced tea colored pour with a small off-white head. The aroma is heavy on the pumpkin, but with more of a fresh pumpkin quality than baked. Heavy pie spice notes are balanced with some baked apple, toasted almond, and banana bread. The flavor is dry, doughy malts with some baked apple and pumpkin, strong allspice and cinnamon with hints of licorice and some lingering piny hop bitterness. There is a dry, cheweyness to the body with plentiful carbonation. Jine (903) - Nutley, New Jersey, USA - OCT 26, 2007
10.24.07 bottle. Fairly good pumpkin beer. Not overwhelming pumpkin taste but a little pumpie pie flavor. Works for me, don’t expect all too much here. Hawksfan17 (890) - Raleigh, North Carolina, USA - OCT 21, 2011
Pours a nice orange amber with no head. Smells more of pumpkin or pumpkin pie than straight spices. Tastes much the same. Smooth finish and pretty decent.
