A lot of pumpkin ales are just seasonal silliness, but a couple have the ability to overcome that stigma and present a truly well brewed beer with interesting flavors and unique palates. Jaw Jacker is one of those pumpkin ales with a hell of a punch of barley, wheat, and spices. A decent example of a pumpkin beer that tastes as good as the idea of a pumpkin beer sounds, Jaw Jacker is an autumnal pleasure.
Where Purchased: ?ml (12 OZ WTF is that) bottle from the Meijer
Consumed: from the bottle
Aroma: Smells sweet, spicy and pumpkins.
Appearance : not to sure. Drank from bottle.
Taste: starts off sweet with some spices, but finishes with a real strong ginger taste.
Palate : medium body. Bitter aftertaste. Good carbonation.
Overall: First of all this is not my favourite style of beer. This one smelled great, but finished bitter and more like a ginger beer. I was glad to try but will not buy again. MB. The Beer "Bear"on.

Hazed golden color with a smallish taupe colored head. Dry malt, cinnamon, mace, caramel, and touch of lacquer. Mild sweet caramel in the front. Middle is filled with spices of cinnamon, allspice and nutmeg. Again I am getting some Ethyl acetate (like being in the old paint store). 4/14

Halloween rooftop rating session in the dark. Chicago, IL.
Clear deep golden color with a tiny white head.
Ginger ale, pumpkin, sweetness, spices, raisin and sweet malt in the aroma.
The flavor is darkish fruit juice, pumpkin, mild hops, spices, sweetness and malt. Not the worst pumpkin brew.
Draft. Pours hazy amber with a fizzy white head. Tastes like pumpkin, cinnamon, cloves, and doughy malt. Light/medium body and carbonation. Smells like cinnamon, cloves, and pumpkin.

Tap at festival. Pours mostly clear amber. Aroma and flavor are pumpkin, spice, and toast. Medium body. DavoleBomb (1867) - Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 23, 2016
Poured into a pint glass.
3.0 A: Moderately hazed medium orange color. Two fingers of frothy/creamy beige head. Retention is a touch below average and a short ring of lacing is left.
3.25 S: Pumpkin spices featuring cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice. Caramel maltiness with toastiness underneath. It doesn’t have much of an actual pumpkin component - it seems spice heavy. Still, it’s pleasant.
3.0 T: Taste is like the nose. It’s spice heavy without a pumpkin backbone. Toasty and caramel malts.
2.75 M: Light to lighter medium body. Watery feel. Good moderate carbonation. Lacking creaminess.
2.75 D: It’s not horrible, but it’s one of the weaker pumpkin beers I’ve had this year.

Pours pumpkin orange with a thin white head. Cinnamon and nutmeg but not much in the way of pumpkin. Not bad but it’s easy to find better pumpkins. darb85 (302) - Canton, Michigan, USA - DEC 4, 2015
