3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle at Sunset Grill, Fall 2008. Amber-copper appearance with a strong, light-beige head. Retention withstanding the spicing. Sweet and gooey in the nose, with vanilla, maple and brown sugar all coming on much stronger than the flavor could ever possibly hope to include. And while it dosent have the richness in flavor, the spicing isn’t terribly overdone, leaving some caramel and brown sugar in the background. A little bit of artificial or unfermented sweetness, it seems, with very little actual pumpkin flavor. Fairly substantial mouthfeel, thanks to the chewy malts and probably the wheat addition. Dosent bring anything new to the table as far as spiced autumn seasonals go. Drinkable, though and no major complaints about it.
Hazed golden color with a smallish taupe colored head. Dry malt, cinnamon, mace, caramel, and touch of lacquer. Mild sweet caramel in the front. Middle is filled with spices of cinnamon, allspice and nutmeg. Again I am getting some Ethyl acetate (like being in the old paint store). 4/14

Halloween rooftop rating session in the dark. Chicago, IL.
Clear deep golden color with a tiny white head.
Ginger ale, pumpkin, sweetness, spices, raisin and sweet malt in the aroma.
The flavor is darkish fruit juice, pumpkin, mild hops, spices, sweetness and malt. Not the worst pumpkin brew.
Draft. Pours hazy amber with a fizzy white head. Tastes like pumpkin, cinnamon, cloves, and doughy malt. Light/medium body and carbonation. Smells like cinnamon, cloves, and pumpkin. sonnycheeba (6126) - Federal Hill, Baltimore, Maryland, USA - OCT 10, 2016
Tap at festival. Pours mostly clear amber. Aroma and flavor are pumpkin, spice, and toast. Medium body. DavoleBomb (1867) - Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 23, 2016
Poured into a pint glass.
3.0 A: Moderately hazed medium orange color. Two fingers of frothy/creamy beige head. Retention is a touch below average and a short ring of lacing is left.
3.25 S: Pumpkin spices featuring cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice. Caramel maltiness with toastiness underneath. It doesn’t have much of an actual pumpkin component - it seems spice heavy. Still, it’s pleasant.
3.0 T: Taste is like the nose. It’s spice heavy without a pumpkin backbone. Toasty and caramel malts.
2.75 M: Light to lighter medium body. Watery feel. Good moderate carbonation. Lacking creaminess.
2.75 D: It’s not horrible, but it’s one of the weaker pumpkin beers I’ve had this year.

Pours pumpkin orange with a thin white head. Cinnamon and nutmeg but not much in the way of pumpkin. Not bad but it’s easy to find better pumpkins. darb85 (287) - Canton, Michigan, USA - DEC 4, 2015

bottle - Pours slightly hazy orange and smells of pumpkin pie spices, which of course is the point. The flavor is fairly sweet with nutmeg and cinnamon noticeable but not overly strong. Light to medium bodied. Average or a little better overall. Dacrza (993) - Great Meadows, New Jersey, USA - OCT 22, 2015
DATE TASTED: October 22, 2015 ... GLASSWARE: Schneider Wiesen Edel-Weisse pokal... OCCASION: another good Thursday ends with some beer... APPEARANCE: lazy, hazy, off-white head that settles to a consistent halo; body is an orange-amber, equally hazy body with slight effervescence--a fitting, Autumnal view... AROMA: light gingerbread, nutmeg and pumpkin spices allure the nostrils; a wheaty clove spice... PALATE: thin, wheaty in consistency; smooth and easy drinking--a bit too easy?... TASTE: a mellow, blunted impact that belies the aroma; nutmeg and pumpkin spices are clearest, with cinnamon and allspice or pepper developing the profile into a larger-than-expected flavor experience; the lightness of body plays out in the flavor, allowing for a swift sipping and a reasonably enjoyable quality... OVERALL: not sure how to take this one at first, with its lightness exhibiting a wheat beer, its ABV upwards of an ale, and a taste that blend the two... intriguing enough to encourage another bottle--a possibility, but not a necessity...
