COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This English-style brown ale has an alluring mahogany color capped by a rich foam head. It is brewed with six different varieties of premium malted barley, creating a robust body and delicious flavor profile featuring hints of chocolate, raisins, dates and almonds. Its ripe fruit notes and malty, sweet finish are counterbalanced by a subtle hop bitterness and aroma.

bottle. Brown with one finger head. Pretty average brown ale. Caramel malt and some toasted nut.

Has an opaque brown color. A little sour, but not a lot of flavor. Maybe a hint of nut, very little caramel malts. Disappointing.

Not a bad brown ale. Nutty, caramel, subtle chocolate, and dark fruit. Medium bodied, thick head and rich.

UPDATED: NOV 10, 2014 Bottle: Deep, ruby-red and brown with clarity around the edges; off-white head fades rather quickly to a puny ring around the glass. Aroma is caramel malt, toffee, some burnt brown sugar, and lots of roast. Taste has a very nutty essence, touches of cocoa powder, roasted wood chips - not smoky, but more earthy, nutty, woodsy. Small hop profile; very mild herbal, tea-like hop leaves in the finish... dry, with a bit of orange zest even. Grape flavored sweetness in the aftertaste? More caramel, too. Not bad, just kind of all over the place. Not as coherent as many brown ales, decent.

Not the biggest fan of brown ales which might skew my rating here. I think I just dont like the heavy caramel flavors that follow with browns.

12 oz bottle pours hazy brown with a off white head. Aroma of toasted malts, fruit and a little nutty. Taste is malt, nutty and a hint of spice. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Hmmm... I expected more... a real bad alcohol finish that just doesnt suit this beer...

Sample at the brewpub on 3/29/13. Pours a clear reddish brown with a medium beige head. Aroma of malt, nuts and caramel. Malty flavor with a grapey and nutty character before a malty finish.

Bottle. Poured a deep brown color with a very large, bubbly tan head. Slightly sweet toffee malt aroma. More of the same with the flavor, with a subtle hint of sourness and peanuts in the finish. Well carbonated with a dry texture. Medium bodied. Drinkable, but leaves a weird lingering taste.
