In honor of our adventurous friends at Sky Dive Inc. in Hastings, Michigan, we crafted a truly adventurous brew in Sky High Rye. A West Coast-style Pale Ale with rye malt, Sky High Rye boasts a massive floral aroma of resinous hops. The hops contribute flavor notes of lemons, peaches, and pine needles, combined with the sweet, malty flavors of toffee and bread. Rye adds a pleasant peppery, spicy note like a fresh slice of pumpernickel bread. Very well-rounded and very drinkable, Sky High Rye will surely inspire adventure in all who taste it.
This West Coast-style Pale Ale is brewed with eighty percent English barley malts and twenty percent rye malt. It boasts a massive floral aroma of resinous hops, contributing notes of lemons, peaches and pine needles and is anchored by the sweet malty flavors of toffee and freshly baked pumpernickel bread.

Can shared with Goetz. Purchased at Sicilianos in GR. really nice beer. My favorite of the evening bouts a slightly reddish copper with one finger of white head. Aroma is malty pine. Really nice beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Poured into a perfect pint. 4.0 A: Moderately hazed yellow orange color. Two fingers of frothy off-white head. Retention is about average and a good sized ring of lacing is left. 4.0 S: The rye in this is potent and pleasurable. Earthy and spicy, it gives its distinct aroma. Flowery and herbal hops underneath. A touch of yeast and a moderate neutral malt sweetness. 4.0 T: Tastes as good as it smells. Pretty much the same flavors as in the nose. Earthy, spicy rye, bready yeastiness, mild bitterness, floral and herbal hops, and neutral malt sweetness. Theres also a mild peachy fruitiness. 4.0 M: Medium body. Good moderate carbonation. Pleasantly creamy and super smooth. 4.0 D: Solid beer all around. Pick this up if youre a fan of rye. DavoleBomb, Jul 09, 2013

Can from Brooklyn
Hazy orange color, steady white head. Malty, citrus, a bit of rye in the nose. Medium-bodied. Lemony, citric, sweetish fruity hoppy flavor. A bit plasticky citrusness and alcohol in the finish,

Light golden color with a tall, lasting cream colored head. Mild, may I say disappointing so, aromas. Hint of rye, light grass and hint of malt. Bits of orange and citrus. Not bad, just not there. Light flavors follow. No real feel from the rye. Some mild rye components mingle with pale grains and mild citrus. Obviously plenty of proteins as the head is very thick and meringue like. Seems watery and weak. 2/10

Poured into shaker a hazy gold with small short lasting head with minimal lace. Aroma was rye malts and floral. In the taste the rye stood out with a bit of grass and spice. Aftertaste rememded me a bit of potato.

Pours a cloudy, murky yellow color with minimal head retention. It does have some lacing though. You can taste the rye here which is nice. The spicy notes come through at the end and the beer has a nice bite to it. A very solid rye beer!

[email protected] Hancock Tower, Chicago. Clear golden color, thin white head. Citric hop aroma. Balanced hoppy flavor with a dry finish. Medium body, medium carbonation. Not bad by itself, but an excellent pairing with brie cheese!
