Bottle from Hopology, Nottingham. Hazy deep amber to brown colour with a thin off white head. Aroma malty bread, biscuit and tea. Taste dry to bitter finish. markas101 (2455) - Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA - DEC 12, 2015
Bottle, Ann Arbor, MI via Plum Market. Hazy pale amber. Caramel biscuit aroma. Balanced hop malt flavour, bready, then a hopped caramel finsih. Ron (3961) - Rochester, New York, USA - NOV 3, 2015
Bottle after a run. Aroma of fruits and earthy woody English hops. A medium body and no detectable alcohol heat. Smooth and easy to drink but a bit heavier than I expected an ESB to be. Could not detect much hops in the flavor. BrownALEx (459) - Portland, Michigan, USA - OCT 25, 2015
Pretty solid beer, not too flashy. A good beer to have more than one of. Taste is good with a nice malt backbone mixed with earthy hops. Probably won’t seek this one but if I run into again I know it’s decent.

Wrote down a score ages ago but ni5 any tasting notes. Recording for posterity. Good stuff. thegreenrooster (4402) - St.louis, Missouri, USA - SEP 2, 2015
Pour is a cloudy reddish with a average tan head. Aroma is those really nice English earthy malts and I also get a bit of grape must aroma. Flavor is another hit of earthy malt along with a fruity berry. Finish is thin but still a decent malt is left on the tongue. A bit too fruity for a traditional ESB but the earthy English maris otter malts are spot on. arminjewell (9669) - East Lansing, Michigan, USA - AUG 14, 2015
Pour on tap at the brewery, hazy orange pour with white head, aroma brought notes of caramel, toffee, biscuit, some diacetyl, hints of earth, slight spice. Taste was a mix of spice, yeast, touch of husky notes into butter, slight veggie, finishing bitter, spicy. Cybercat (5835) - Georgia, USA - JUL 15, 2015
Pours clear, dark, almost brownish amber with a very thick and rather persistent frothy eggshell head. Strong, malty aroma has notes of caramel, cloves and hops. Flavor has a malty core and even more cloves and hops, plus earthy and caramel undertones for a well-rounded flavor; bitterness gets your attention but isn’t pushy. Mouthfeel has average body and fizz, while finish adds a fruity tone to the flavor. Follow this trail to some good beer. DavoleBomb (1867) - Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 30, 2015
Poured into a perfect pint.
3.75 A: Lightly hazed dark orange color. Two fingers of frothy off-white head. Retention is about average or a touch better and a short ring of lacing is left.
3.75 S: Toasty, grainy malts to start things off. Plentiful caramel with hints of toffee. Just a faint touch of yeastiness. Simple, yet so very pleasant.
3.75 T: Taste mirrors the nose. Toastiness is the foremost flavor. Graininess, a few layers of caramel, and toffee follow. Again just a touch of bready yeastiness.
3.75 M: Medium body. Mild chewiness from the yeast. Good creaminess. Solid here.
3.75 D: A well rounded beer for sure. Not a ton of complexity, but the flavors are in perfect proportion.
