Draught at Fette Sau. Mild plasticky aroma. Cloudy orange colour. Vinous flavour, some white wine. bhensonb (15208) - Woodland, California, USA - SEP 7, 2008
Bottle from Vintage Cellar. Hazy amber color with a frothy beige head. It’s got Xmas spice aromas. Near medium body with frothy carbonation. Flavor is spicy, but it’s got a little dirty graininess. Seems to be some ginger or similar. It gets better with time. Tastes like it came from Belgium. Spice takes over at the finish. Interesting drink. Bet it was a hit in 1850. Bottle. Cloudy golden amber with small white head. Aroma of citrus and toffee. Medium body with sweet finish. Flavor was full with citrus and wheat sweet. Good American Wheat. argo0 (14127) - Washington DC, USA - JAN 31, 2005
(I suspect this is an old bottle, but there is no date on it) Small off white head atop hazed amber body. Aroma is medium sweet, toffee, light orange. Taste is moderately sweet, toffee, some earthy, orange, light lemon. Medium body, some acidity. Not bad, but certainly not what I was expecting from an American Wheat.
