Not really sure why it’s called an IPA... bread, hay, citrus, floral, Golden Amber color, clear, nice white head.medium bitterness, light sweetness, light body, creamy, soft carbonation, light bitter finish. The kind of beer you keep in the fridge as an everyday refreshing beer. Not bad, but not a real IPA in my mind.
On tap at Mondial de la Biere 2017 in Montreal. clear medium gold, average white head. Low aroma of honey and light fruit. Honey and light floral hops with assertive bitterness. Daytona00 (163) - Quebec City, Quebec, CANADA - JUN 2, 2017
473 ml Can. Golden color. Small head. In mouth, crisp taste with some bitterness. Good IPA. Not an exceptional one but worth a try. Bierdimpfe (640) - Quebec, CANADA - OCT 9, 2016
Cloudy amber color with lots of activity and floating detritus. Creamy beige 3-4 finger island head, lasting around 10-15 minutes, with moderate legs. Flavors of orange, caramel, citrus, grapefruits, pineapple, slightly floral, grassy herbal hops. Thick fruity sweetness, while still sharp and bitter. Slick medium body with prickly carbonation. Strong finish, astringent thick grassy feel, lots of hops, sharp citrus, and sugary caramel. Good freshness and pleasant to drink for a bold one, but not very accessible. Nice flavors, fresh grassy feel, good balance. Overall good quality craft. UXO (1922) - CANADA - AUG 26, 2016
Appearance: hazy medium gold with one finger of rocky white head, good retention and moderate lacing. (3/5) Aroma: pine, earth, pale malt. (6/10) Taste: moderate sweet, moderate-high bitter. (6/10) Medium body, moderate carbonation, off-dry bitter finish. (4/5)
Not quite as good as the white version, which was at least fairly citrus-dominant. This starts off a bit piney, but then becomes more earthy, tending to muddy. English means noble hops, and earthy kind of goes with the territory there, sure, but this seems a bit muddled. Not terrible, and at least it’s got an unabashed lingering bitterness going for it.

Tap at Le Saint-Bock in Montréal. Damn, didn’t suspect I’d have an AB InBev from such a nice place... Anyway, barely translucent orange with nice off-white head. Nose and flavour grassy, citric-resiny. Veers towards bitterness, the sweetness rather restrained. Peachier as it warms. Nothing much to criticise on the palate... Mixed feelings. Not saying it’s good but it ain’t too bad either... Better than many independently brewed IPA-s in Canada. Diogène (1208) - Mirabel, Quebec, CANADA - MAR 9, 2016

1 pint can, not sure if fresh or not. Pours a clear golden with a medium white head that leaves good lacing but fail early. Nose is of caramel, fruits, herbs and grass. Taste is sweet and offers flavors of caramel. Some moderate bitterness but not nearly enough. Body is medium-full and carbonation moderate. Weird syrupy mouthfeel. Overall it was subpar even for an oldschool IPA. Meh. Trev (2023) - Lakeville, Minnesota, USA - JUL 29, 2015
