This is an exellent beer! One of my favourites! Arcobräu has it’s own account on Twitter now: https://twitter.com/arcobraeu

Draft. A hazy golden beer with a lazing white head. The aroma has notes of straw, malt, and spices. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, straw, and spices, leading to a bitter finish.

Tap at KBH. Pours dirty blonde. Light nose of grass and banana. Tastes of grass, yeast, olive oil, grainy, some hops, and light honey. Smooth but unremarkable.

cazort (560) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 2, 2014
On tap at a restaurant in Regensburg, Germany. Hazy, light in color, looks and tastes a lot like a Keller, but I think I may like the Keller style more than Zwickel. Less hoppy than I’d like--aroma is not terribly complex. Flavor is moderately sour, more than I’d expect, and more than I like. Also lightly sweet, more than I prefer. Alcohol well-masked in the aroma, even though the aroma isn’t particularly strong.

Salmoniform (1272) - Sweet Home, Oregon, USA - OCT 15, 2014
Poured from bottle to glass. Hazy straw hue with creamy white head that settled. Aroma is straw, sulphur, clove, yeast, slight banana. Mouthfeel is refreshing with a medium light body and crisp carbonation. Taste is dry with a bitter following and slight sulphur finish. Overall this is a decent brew.

Oelbas (272) - DENMARK - SEP 9, 2014
Lys strågul med hvidt holdbart skum. Duften er typisk undergæret med hø i den tørre ende. Smagen er maltsød og rimelig fyldig med lidt bitterhed, der vokser i eftersmagen.

Bottle at home. Medium high creamy lasting white head. Hazy light yellow green body. Dusty malt straw banana herbal aroma. Dusty malt straw flavor with mild notes of lemon. Low carbonation, short sweet finish.

Noticed the best before date is 5/2012 when I got home. Hopefully that’s part of the problem w/ this beer because its below average in all areas. Aroma is ok - mild malt/hop scent. Pour is cloudy gold w/ a thin white head & little lacing. Taste is nearly macro esque - not at all interesting & finishing watery. Palate is thin & watered down. Not good at all!
