On tap at Christy’s in Cincinnati, OH... Served in a plastic cup (they refused to give me a glass because it was an outdoor patio...). Golden color, nice foamy white head leaving good lace. Nice smooth carbonation, dry finish. Pretty decent aroma, better than I expected. Straw, hay, white bread. Like a zwicklbeer should be, I think? A nice surprise at an otherwise unimpressive bar full of macros. Some banana, spice and hefe-like aromas in a subtle way. Pretty tasty light bitter and light sweet taste. Lighter savory taste. Not much too complain about, besides the price and shitty presentation. Very dry. A little skunk and basement comes out as it warms up a bit. Starts out nice, but soon gets worse

Bottle. Pours hazy golden with a white head. Aroma of citrus, grains, fruity, citrus, notes of breast malts. Quite sweet, with a herbal touch, light bitterness

Bottle, bb 7/17. Hazy straw gold with a large white head. Aroma of grainy bread, somewhat earthy spices, some cardboard. Light bodied, getting towards watery. Pleasantly soft carbonation. Tastes as it smells - sweet and bready with a little cardboard, earthy and spicy with modest but slightly harsh bitterness. Just OK, maybe didn’t travel.

50cl bottle shared with 2 friends. Medium creamy white head. Hazy golden pour. Easy drinking but nothing special.

Pale yellow, foamy head. Aroma faint malt, cardboard. Creamy palate, low carbonation. Very thin in both consistence and taste. Somewhat bland and overall uninteresting. Balanced biterness. Not worth trying again.

On tap. It pours hazy yellow with a white head. Floral hoppy and pale malty aroma. The flavor is light floral and light earthy hoppy. Pale creamy malts.

330 ml bottle, just purchased but (now I see) some months past the BB date on the label of 8/2015. Served in a lager glass. It’s past date but certainly not bad and had retained plenty of carbonation. Pours hazy golden with a tall, fluffy white head that has excellent retention. A bit of sediment-laden liquid left in the bottle. Aroma: more hops than malts, with a earthy and slightly skunky Euro hop aromas dominating. Flavor: mild mix of light baked bread and light hops. Overall: promising but likely past prime; will revisit with a fresh sample if I get the chance -- meanwhile, I’ve made a very slight compensation for this in the ratings.

halfonit (1349) - Fall River, Massachusetts, USA - MAY 5, 2016
Pours a slightly hazy light, pale golden color. More yellowish than gold I’d say. Aroma is of malts, yeast, clove, metal, and something sweet. Bubbly palate. Flavor is of malts, metallic, slight skunk, hops, rye, bitter esters. Leaves a bitter metallic malt finish. Nothing special. Another "beer style" to check off the list.

Moravius (1265) - Beijing, CHINA - DEC 29, 2015
