A bit murky in the glass (rusty apricot) but authentic for the style and holds a consistent. albeit thin, head. Nose is lean and shows herbal hops and only the faintest touch of malt. Palate is similar; lean and linear with dry herbal hops and decent bitterness. I like what it is trying to do but needs a bit more oopmh to get going.

30ml bottle. Murky and muddy copper dust colour with a tight knit small head. Heavy fruity hop aromas that are inviting and sweet. Very hoppy flavour that hits the mouth full tilt and envelopes all parts. Smooth and enjoyable.

Bottle. Pours a very dark copperish brown with smallish tan coloured head. Nice lacing as it falls away. Aromas are a little subdued to me though US hop aromas do come through. Grapefruit, lychee and perhaps some passionfruit. Some malt sweetness is also apparent in the background. Nice but not as apparent as I would like. Flavours are initially caramel sweetness and some of the fruit. Hop bitterness comes through on the end and whilst not overly assertive it is certainly there never the less. Not too bad but for me some more up front hop aromas would be good.

From a 330ml bottle on 16/5/2010. Has a fantastic, powerful aroma - stonefruits, passionfruit and some peach. Tastes extremely big for a beer which is only 4.7%. Lots of different flavours are evident. Sweet, fruity and malty, with a long, very assertive hop kick, which is almost peppery. Would probably be even better it the finish was just a touch more subdued. However, this is an excellent APA.

Quite a nice looking beer... Nice off white head, although that settles to a thin line quite quickly. Aroma seems a little muddled... I get some lychee, grass, pine, pawpaw...sort of like a fruit salad. But I also get some fusels.... Palate is a little thin, but nice mouthfeel. Bitterness is a little harsh, but not all that bad... Carbonation is nice, and overall, pretty good.

Bottle, 13C. Pours copper with a modest beige head. High bead. Aroma is full of American hops: grapefruit, pine and a little resin. Taste has some light caramel and stone fruit sweetness underneath tasty but short-lived bitterness. Body is a little on the thin side. Theres nothing terribly complicated here and thats not a bad thing: this is a highly drinkable beer with a good smack of fresh aromatic hops.

Bottle. Clear brownish amber pour with a creamy beige head that lasts a while and leaves a lot of lace. Quite hoppy on the nose with lots of citrus and tropical fruits as well as some caramel. Flavour is pretty similar; orange, apricot, passionfruit, lychee and caramel notes all stand out. Light, slightly creamy mouthfeel with moderate carbonation and a long bitter finish. Pretty good Australian APA but slightly unbalanced: could be a little more full-bodied and the fruitiness tends to overshadow everything else. Having said that its still a nice brew and very easy to drink.

Pours dark coppery amber with a large, lasting creamy head. Aroma shows masses of lychee, kumquat, pine, passionfruit, resin, orange marmalade, fruity confectionery, pineapple, etc, etc. Sweet clean malt is not forgotten; seems to be a nice load of crystal in there. A fair bit of the fruit transfers through as flavours, along with the sweet clean malt. Finish is quite aggressive (and astringent) with a somewhat harsh bitterness. Carbonation is a little too high, body slightly light. The sharp, harsh finish really drags this beer down, that aroma was a stunner though.

Bottle. Impressive taste. Aroma has grass, pepper, and caramel. Taste has a sweet start, with long-lasting bitterness. Palate is velvety, and medium bodied. Amber colour, with a frothy white head.
