3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Quite a nice looking beer... Nice off white head, although that settles to a thin line quite quickly. Aroma seems a little muddled... I get some lychee, grass, pine, pawpaw...sort of like a fruit salad. But I also get some fusels.... Palate is a little thin, but nice mouthfeel. Bitterness is a little harsh, but not all that bad...
Carbonation is nice, and overall, pretty good.
The appearance was a burnt orange to amber color, almost brown. Finger’s worth of white foamy head dissipated at a nice pace. Mild stringy lace.
The aroma balances nicely between a dry piney and citrusy (bitter portion) hops to some toffee and caramel malty tones.
The flavor leans crisp malty sweet with a quick bitter hoppiness rolling in for the balance. Sly semi-sweet malty aftertaste rubbing against some hops to lead on into the finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a nice sessionability about it. Carbonation feels good for what it is. Mild smoothness.
Overall, pretty good American styled pale ale that I could have again. KeefOz (1838) - Tarragindi, AUSTRALIA - SEP 28, 2016
Poured a translucent orangey-gold colour with a big off-white orange tinted frothy head that retained well and laced well. Carbonation low and fine; A few sediment particles settled out of this unfiltered beer. Aroma of sweet caramel, sweet citrus and earthy notes. Taste of sweet malt followed by sweet citrus; low bitterness increases as it warms and becomes a bit grapefruity. Light body. Smooth with a slightly dry, sweet citrus finish. varanid99 (1214) - AUSTRALIA - JUL 7, 2016
Cloudy orange pour with a massive frothy pale orange head. Marmaladey, malty, grassy aromas. Taste is sweet malt, orange, and a bit of bitterness, nothing too complicated but pretty drinkable Dervock (1347) - AUSTRALIA - MAR 26, 2016
Bottle - pours murky orange with a big frothy head. Marmalade orange hops, malt and a bit of fruit. Taste is malty up front then a dry fruity citrus finish. Fizzy palate. ShaneJ (896) - AUSTRALIA - JAN 5, 2016
Bottle from Slowbeer (March 2015). Dirty amber/orange, cream coloured head, grassy aroma and bitterness, pine, grapefruit, quite thin body, some malt sweetness, medium bitterness. Not bad.

Nice malt back bone. Balanced bitterness for an APA. Hints of pine and fruit. Good aroma. Good session beer.

Found this American Pale in my local bottlo, and really enjoyed it. New release as they are new owners. I had it before and thought it needed some tweaking. Nice pour of a copper/amber body with off white head that slowly dissipates, First thing that hits you is the citrus aroma of the hops, and there are plenty in this. The body is still light, but nicely balanced. Easy drinking for what smells more like an IPA. Brenhophead (695) - Perth, AUSTRALIA - DEC 9, 2011
Pours a dark amber colour with big head and an aroma similar to murrays pale ale. Flavour is also very similar it tastes like a tweaked recipes. This is a very nice beer i enjoyed it. bluevegie (3073) - Perth, AUSTRALIA - OCT 21, 2010
Dark orange body with thin head. Nice hoppy aroma which carries through to the taste with a faint hint of smoke in the aftertaste. jonno (2761) - JAPAN - AUG 5, 2010
Beautiful unfiltered dark orange. Nose is a bit muted, but citric hops slwly make their way to the top. In the mouth it’s a little more lively. Resonablt full bodied for a sub 5% beer. Medium length citrus hop finish .Not so complex. Good easy drinking. WIth maybe a few more IBUs and a piney hop to offset the citrus this could be a real champ.
