Aroma is nice, not very complex but the roasted malts combine well with the sweetness and there’s no alcohol burn. Medium bodied and low on carbonation, it feels a bit astringent on the tongue, it lacks smoothness. Bitter and sweet, it has a nice dark chocolate taste, combined with slight woody notes and vanilla. Nice effort!

Minstens 3 x geproefd 2de keer op 25 febr. 2016.

330 ml bottle at Koht, Tallinn (thanks, Kairi!) (7:5:6:4-:14=3.6-)
Rice cake chocolatey aroma. Sweet with some almst maple stuff going on. Black with a tight beige head. Berryish palate. Nice. Palate is soft - Phil says it’s too soft! & a touch yeasty (the yeastisn’t tasty, Mart). Could be served a little coler, but that’s not an iss ue with the beer. The taste has berries that eld nicely with the cake-tin roast. Late finish has almost berry aspects, lastg. - fixme tomorrow -

lesifflebiere (1904) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - JUN 25, 2017
Alcool discret.

Scrumpy369 (838) - Budapest, HUNGARY - JUN 18, 2017
Bottle at hoppy loft. Pitch black colour small lightbrown head. Nose is loads of roastedness. Taste is roasted light nuts. Smooth mouthfeel. Nice but too much roasted notes.

ironcontra (332) - POLAND - JUN 7, 2017
First time my aggressive stout pour almost backfired I think. Anyway, getting a lot of grapes, nuts, dark chocolate in here, fairly pungent aroma and almost more of a sour than a sweet thing, for a stout of course. Maybe could use a bit more bod. But Cool

Lonick (2122) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - MAY 20, 2017
Bottle @cgarvieuk (May 1st). Pours black with a slight tan head. Nose is blandish almost not there at all. Taste is so different to the nose, big coffee, licorice, aniseed, malty and chocolate.
