330 ml bottle, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 8%. Black colour, large tan head. Moderate roasty aroma, hints of oak and vinous notes, also a hint of fruity hops. Moderately roasty and medium sweet flavour, vinous notes with hints of oak, moderate fruity and herbal hops, hints of liquorice.

nathanvc (766) - Brugge, BELGIUM - OCT 20, 2017
At Café Botteltje, Ostend. Pours cloudy black with a small, foamy, beige head. The aroma contains coffee (powder), milk chocolate & dark chocolate, roasted malt, barley & spelt, cinnamon (Belgian speculoos), liquor, vanilla & oak. It tastes medium chocolatey & malty sweet and light to medium roasted bitter. The finish is sweetish, yet toasty and woody at the same time. Some subtle, warming alcohol. Full body, slick/oily texture, fizzy to soft carbonation. Great execution of the style - something to be proud of as a Belgian!

UPDATED: OCT 18, 2017 Probada junto a una tarta de chocolate. Bien, pero sin más. Le falta algo de densidad.

Aorma is roasted and a tad artificial, peppery. Taste is dry, cacao and roasted grains. Palate is dry and a tad wry. Very interesting palate.

culchiem (4182) - Berlin, GERMANY - SEP 9, 2017
Bottle from Les Fleurs. Light black with a tan head. Aroma of roasted fruit. Flavour is warm fruit, caramel, a little booze, vanilla and wood on a salty finish.

Eructoblaster (4413) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - SEP 3, 2017
Bottle - 750ml. Pours a black body with brown glints and a thick, lasting, beige foamy head. Well balanced, complex malty aroma with chocolate, roasty, woody, and plummy hints. Alcohol is well hidden. Its malty/hoppy taste carries vineous, woody, and roasty notes. Ends with a robust, moderately warming, bittersweet finish. Enjoyable.

Cantabrian (1161) - Christchurch NZ, now Brisbane, AUSTRALIA - SEP 3, 2017
Long time ago, in Germany. Lovely stout, nice and black, with dark fruits tobacco, dark chocolate, creamy, haha, almost as good as that perfect Viven porter they have over in Belgium.

3.3
Svartvit (1002) - NETHERLANDS - AUG 27, 2017
Sampled at BXL Beerfest Brussel. Pours a close to black with a tan head. Cocoa, molasses, dark roasted malts.
