Hazy reddish amber with a small frothy off-white head. Aroma is toffee, figs, oak,grapes, hints of vanilla. Taste is medium sweet, light bitter and some dry vinous and oak notes. Finish is sweet, light bitter, slight boozy and dry with caramel, figs, grapes, oak, grape skins and red wine. Medium bodied, soft carbonation.

Decent enough offering but a barley wine ?

Clear medium amber orange color with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, caramel, fruity, perfume, dried fruit, sweet malt - fruit. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration. dried fruit, grapes, perfume, caramel. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat, finish feel is light alcoholic. Nice slightly bubbly mediumlasting head. Aroma is slightly sour-ish grassy, sour grass, unripe berries, oak, berry skin, almonds, redwine, grass, sugar. Taste is slightly sweet and harsh, oak, redwine, bark, grass, weeds, fruit stones, berry skin, burnt caramel, cocoa. Medium to longlasting bitterness, dry harsh mouthfeel. Not my cup of tea.
