Aroma: smells of sweet bourbon nectar. Nice amber hue with little head. Nice bourbon flavor up front followed by the sweet barleywine flavors. Great Beer from the boards.
Sampled at Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2014. Session 4. Pours clear, deep amber with a creamy, tan head. Rich, moderately woody, with notes of toffee, toasted sugars, bread, dates. Full bodied and chewy, with average carbonation. Warming on the finish with hearty sugars, ripened fruits, more brad. Hefty stuff but pretty drinkable - and damn tasty. CBC Session 4. Light haze on this deep amber beer, small pale cream coloured head. Palate is light and dry and a little crisp. Sweetish malts, but thin. The PVW is spicy but not overwhelming. Light touch of dried fruits leads to a light dry finish. Nice, but not so good it needs to be named twice.
