Pours an amber color with nice off white head. Aromas and flavors of citrus, oranges, pine, resin, and nice mellow bitterness at the end. The oranges start showing there wee little heads as this beer warms up. Here’s to JPD! Pailhead (6543) - Rochester Hills, Michigan, USA - NOV 5, 2013
On tap: The aroma consists of light-moderate orange, fruit, light caramel, grapefruit, and a touch of spice. It’s a transparent amber with small white head that eventually fades to a thin ring. The flavor starts with a quick dose of orange/citrus with a hint of fruit and caramel. The finish has moderate pine, lighter grapefruit, and a touch of spice. It’s light-medium bodied with light-moderate carbonation and a somewhat soft mouthfeel. JustDrinkIt (261) - Arizona, USA - OCT 30, 2013
Transparent copper pour with nice lacing. Citrusy aroma with resinous pine. Flavor has a nice hop profile with a lingering bitterness. hamilton23 (619) - Alpine, California, USA - OCT 29, 2013
Poured from a 32oz growler from Dave. I was happy to finally try the beer that Jon Petroff worked hard to help create for this new brewery. Pours copper in color with thin white head. Aroma is citrus and some hops. Taste follows with a fair amount of citrus and bittering hops in the back end. Nicely balanced. BMMillsy (1788) - Florida, USA - OCT 29, 2013
Growler from Dave. Thanks man! Pours a beautiful deep copper red with a half finger cream colored head. Big bready malts, biscuits, some grapefruits on the nose, very dank. Flavor starts with big bready malts, some nice dry hops in the background. Dry finish with some big biscuit notes lingering on the palate. There is an interesting finish to this that is clearly of the EPA or ESB style. This was a nice brew and really came off like a combo between a nice APA and mellow Marzen. Not bad at all.

Mostly clear, copper/amber pour. Bubbly white head. I get fresh orange right away, followed by a great hit of juicy and slightly bitter hops. The balance of citrus, hops and malt is spot on. DesertDevil (699) - Arizona, USA - OCT 18, 2013
On tap in a can-shaped glass at the brewery. Pours a dark copper color with an off-white, 3/4-inch head. Malt-heavy nose (with prominent caramel) at first followed by a wet citrus tone and nice Galaxy hop bitterness. Very clean taste of caramel, slight honey, graham cracker, toasted rye, with a nice medium bitterness for balance. I don’t get much orange on the taste until more than two-thirds through the pint, when a sweet, zesty orange flourish appears before a slightly dry finish. A good twist on a classic style and a well-balanced brew honoring one of the nicest guys in the AZ craft beer scene. Metallion66 (104) - - OCT 18, 2013
Solid Pale Ale. Much more hop forward than their Estrella Pale Ale imo. It will be interesting to see how this beer progresses after a little while. There wasn’t much orange or citrus after the initial pour, it definitely came out a bit more as it warmed up a bit though. JPDurden24 (1675) - Chandler, Arizona, USA - OCT 16, 2013
On tap at the brewery. Orange/copper pour with a slightly off white head. Aroma is grapefruit and orange citrus with some minor dank hops. Taste is just enough orange and a nice hop balance with galaxy profile. Love it! Ibrew2or3 (8860) - Tempe, Arizona, USA - OCT 16, 2013
Poured up on tap at Wilderness where the liquid is in a squat tulip glass that exhibits a clear copper body with thin gold edges and supporting an off white head of foam. The aroma is nice and full with grapefruit citrus hops, a bit of pine resin, some yummy onion dank hoppiness and then a slight maltiness in the background. The taste is crisp and snappy and rich, as it is uber fresh. I get firm, slightly sweetened by malts, mix of spicy dank shallots, grapefruit, orange peel and tangelo with a pleasing degree of hop bitterness. Behind the hops is a slight drying malt roastiness with slivers of sweet malts around the edges giving this plenty of backbone and just enough malt roastiness for the style. It leaves a pleasing lingering citrus note into the after taste. I wouldn’t mind drinking a lot more of this. Excellent Pale!
