cross, Cirencester. Amber beer with residual head. Aroma of malts and earth. Taste is earthy, ash, malts and some astringency. Not good.
Thin head on a clear dark straw body. Aroma is dry grains and lemon. Taste is grainy, mild sweet, and a little dark fruit. Texture is a little grainy. Sigmund (7537) - Tau, NORWAY - APR 12, 2015
Cask half pint at the Whitesmiths Arms (an Arkells pub), Gloucester. Deep golden to copper colour, low head. Malty aroma and flavour, a little tingling fruit in the finish. Not very bitter. miquelcrush (2053) - Granollers, SPAIN - JUL 12, 2014
Bona cervesa, és bastant equilibrada i gustosa.
Buena cerveza, es bastante equilibrada y sabrosa. jjsint (3116) - Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, ENGLAND - MAR 21, 2014
Cask @ The Castle, Bedford. Dark gold/copper with a smallish but lively head for a cask ale. Sulphurous aroma which fades to light herby and biscuit note with a hint of soft fruit. Taste is full and sweet with a bitter finish. I find the aftertaste somewhat acrid. An interesting ale, well-made but a bit unbalanced. Won’t be to everyone’s taste.

Cask (White Hart, Whutchurch) - Amber in colour. Apricot and biscuity malt in the aroma. Apricot and biscuity malt also feature in the taste along with some pleasantly hoppy notes. SilkTork (5738) - Southampton, United Kingdom, Hampshire, ENGLAND - NOV 27, 2013
March, 2012 Royal Inn, Wootton Bassett. Good malty beer with a refreshing vanilla wash and a light noble hop finish. Damn nice. Gethinbeer (2452) - Nova Scotia, CANADA - AUG 12, 2013
Copper pour with a thin to non existant lace. Sour vinager aroma. Yeast, mango fruity flavour. Smooth texture. Little sweet honey finish. Beese (2776) - Watford, Hertfordshire, ENGLAND - JUL 22, 2013
Cask at Moon Under Water (JDW) on 19 June. Poured a very unattractive, cloudy amber. No aroma to speak of very little flavour followed by some unpleasant bitter notes on the palate. I don’t doubt that this was not in good condition, but I get the impression that it wouldn’t have been might much better if it had been perfectly served. berkshirejohn (6505) - Bracknell, Berkshire, ENGLAND - JUL 3, 2013
Cask at the Old Manor (JDW), Bracknell. An average, and rather, boring brown bitter. Copper with a foaming white head; basic, malty aroma; sweet malty taste with a few nuts thrown in; and a biscuity finish.
