Copper brown color, good off-white creamy head. Slightly toasted butterscotch and mild hops in the nose. Chocolaty, roasted malty flavor - some in the aftertaste. Some sweetness there too. Solid example of Scottish style.
Cask at Clockwork. It pours deep amber with a medium beige head. The nose is brown bread, earth, nut, dried berry, toast and malt loaf. The taste is earth, brown bread, toast, dried fruit, berry, light caramel, fruity tartness and fruit cake with a dry, toasty finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. A superior dark ale. Rather nice.
