Cask at The Holy Inadequate, Etruria. A clear deep amber colour with a medium white head. Aroma of maltloaf, nuts, some caramel, slight toasty malts and earthy hops. Taste is similar of maltloaf, caramel, nuts, toasty malts, some twigs, subtle raisin and earthy hops. Medium bodied and soft carbonation. A sweetish, toffee like finish with subtle toasty bitterness. Cask at Clockwork. It pours deep amber with a medium beige head. The nose is brown bread, earth, nut, dried berry, toast and malt loaf. The taste is earth, brown bread, toast, dried fruit, berry, light caramel, fruity tartness and fruit cake with a dry, toasty finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. A superior dark ale. Rather nice.
