Hazy, clear red pint. Slightly sour aroma. Flavour is toffee but with a too-tangy sweet edge for my taste. Itís nice enough but unfortunately has quite a watery finish.
500 ml bottle at Ye Olde Frigate Bar, Aberdeen. ABV 3.9%. Served at room temperature. Reddish brown colour, large off-white to beige head. Malty and slightly vinegary aroma and flavour, sourish. Not great. shoestring (395) - larkhall, SCOTLAND - NOV 2, 2016
Red hue with foamy head that dissipates but laces. Caramel and red fruit on nose, bit thin but to be expected at strength .very easily sunk and could easily session on it. Very like an English bitter for me . Enjoyed it. rob19a (325) - - OCT 22, 2016
3/20 huge caramel nose but beer is flat, lacks flavour, lifeless, not a nice taste. Poor even considering the low %

Bottle from Boothís in Ripon. A ruby ale with a cream head. Lots of toffee in the flavour. Itís quite sweet too and a little fruity. A reasonable amount of flavour going on. Itís a bit on the thin side and has a dry finish that Iím not keen on. Not bad overall. Stuu666 (13094) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - JUL 6, 2014
