I am just not a fan of the style. it is hard to find a beer that gained from oak aging other than just tasting like whiskey. brown golden color, whiskey notes, and not much head or lacing. mellow enough and a nice beer but not additive to a good glass of arrogant Bastard and a side shot.

Dark orange to brown colour with beige big head on top which leaves nice lacing to the sides of the glass. Aroma has Bourbon notes, barrel, caramel malts, maybe toffee too. Pines and grassy hops. Taste has lots of caramel malts, some Bourbon barrel notes and ending with pines and grass hops. Fullish body and medium carbonation.

Poured from a bottle. Nice caramel color and creamy head. Strong bourbon aroma. More of a strong ale flavor than I expected with caramel, burnt toast, and dark fruit before the bourbon comes on. Good, just not my cup of tea.

Pours with a deep red body and minimal head. Aromas of caramel and bourbon. Flavor is bourbon, hops. Fairly simple flavors. The bourbon is not overpowering and is well integrated. A little thin but otherwise decent.

On tap. Red brown color. This has really taken on a lot of barrel qualities, coconutty vanilla, dark caramel and still a faint citrus hoppiness left. Although its boozy, it is still very drinkable. If you like AB and bourbon, go for it.
