L: -pours a clear ruby-brown with a small, frothy, offwhite head -medium carbonation visible -very small particle floaties visible S: -raisins,coconut,plums,caramel,molass oak T: -bitter tanins, grapefruit, grassy, nutty, spicy -high bitterniss for the style F: -low to medium carbonation -medium body -alcohol noticeable O: It has a definitive bourbon BA note to it, but the barrel doesn't completely take the Beer over. Not better or worse than the normal Arrogant Bastard, just different. A really good Beer.

UPDATED: FEB 10, 2018 Found this at a local shop in Roselle, IL. I don’t typically go in for an American Strong Ale but it came highly recommended and I was pleasantly surprised at how nice this was.

Pours ruby-reddish-brown, thin off white head. Nose is vanilla, coconut, malt, wood. Medium sweet, light tart, high bitter, alcohol gives it a punch. Aromas - charred wood, caramel, vanilla, coconut, yeast, alcohol, light floral hops. Wish it was a little less bitter, otherwise very good.

humpah (399) - Jyväskylä, FINLAND - JAN 20, 2018
0,355l bottle from Alko. Pours reddish dark brown color with slight head. Aroma of vanilla, sweetness, bourbon dark fruits, oak, rich maltiness, some hoppiness. Taste is quite sweet and bourbony, with alcohol being there as well. Medium body and moderate bitterness. Sweet and bitter aftertaste, not very long one. Barrel is quite present from start to finish, maybe too much? Gives a bit rough feeling there, it's been a while since I drank the original, but I remember liking it more.

I have found this bottle at Amstein, St- Légier. I drank it tonight at Bonfol, relax, after three weeks at Lima. I had a positive impression with this beer, well balanced and original for the style. The color is orange/dark red and brown, troubled, white and brown foam, regular carbonation. The first aspect is that you smell at the nose and the mouth, the barrel and the oak and the vanilla, you don't have this side of smoke whisky, rather dry with a touch of sweetness and wood. You have notes of malt, some hop but behind the scene, you feel a bit the alcool but the dosis is ok, the barrel and the oak and the vanilla that it is not that sweet dominate, during all the sips. Bottled on 24.04.16 , good job.
