This is a very nice fruity aroma. The taste of alcohol and hops were very apparent in this beer.

This beer introduces itself with an aroma that explodes with hops. Caramel can be detected as a fragrance lingering in the background. This beer finds itself some where on the color chart between dark orange and mahogany. It produces a thick tan colored head that dissipates leaving a impressive amount of lacing on the side of the glass. This moderately thick beer tingles the tongue as it enters the mouth. The taste of hops wallop the tongue and leave a nice bitter edge on the tongue and in the throat as they await another mouthful of this liquid sensation.

One of the best American beers. A delicious mix of maltiness and hoppiness. Piney and fruity, sweet and luscious.

UPDATED: MAR 8, 2006 Draught at 4th Annual Wildland Firefighters Benefit & Festival. At the Pumphouse in Longmont, CO. Sample in a pint glass. Beer pous a clear, medium-dark amber with a foamy, light brown, quickly and mostly diminshing head. The aroma was a hop-blast. Malty with moderate amounts of sweet cookie, caramel, deeply toasted grain, flowers and green grass; Heavily hoppy with notes of grapefruit, resin/pine and dried apricoot; Lightly yeasty with sour dough; Miscellaneous notes of moderate vanilla and a trace of sour apple and a note of peach. The flavor is harshy bitter, heavily sweet and moderately acidic with an extra-long, hop-pinchy finish. The body is watery, the texture is medium and the carbonation is average.

This used to be one of my favoite beers. I think I drank too much, now Im kinda over it. A very malty brew, with some hopps as well.

The first thing I noticed was the faint aroma of apples. This is a strong beer with a very floral and fruity taste. The hops made their appearance, but were not overly dominating, like you would find in an IPA. This was a good beer, but not my personal favorite.

To be fair I was rating this beside the Chimay Blue. I found this beer to be to hoppy for my taste. The only aroma I could smell was apple juice, I dont know why though as I could not taste any apples. I found that a 50% mix of Arrogant Bastard and Guinness was a great combination.

A hice hop aroma. Very thick on the palate. Sweet taste, carmel, some toasted grains. This is a great beer!

Pours a cloudy, murky iced tea brown with a small tan head that leaves boatloads of lacing. Looks like I just had a root beer float! Nose is smoky and hoppy with the slightest bit of citrus in the background. Flavor is a mix of sweet and tart and spicy and malty and fruity and...you get the idea.
