This is an aggressive beer. You probably wont like it. It is quite doubtful that you have the taste or sophistication to appreciate an ale of this quality and depth.

0,5 l can (From the Berlin Brewery) shared. Appearance:Clear brown body ,with a rough creamy white head. Aroma: Hughe, a lot malt, caramel, toffee, witha lot of pine and resin, some fruity tones.Taste: Is moderate sweet and heavy bitter while still finding a balance. Allmost full body, average carbonation. Quality ? Yes.. Depth ?, Hmm, Imho I would say no, because this is one big power house.Going in agressive and hard, but lacking the nuances to make it really great. Still for people who are all for richness and still drinkable this is one beer to get.

Can 0,5 l. I have no idea if really produced in California as I bougth it in the supermarekt in Warsaw, Poand. The beer is unfortunatelly very dissapointing. Not really interesting beer. Just strong bitterness, moldy and caramel aroma and taste. Too long bitter finish. Once again: dissapointing.

Nice and strong American Ale. Really bitter but it fits perfectly to the citrus and caramel notes. Enjoyed it but you have to be in the mud to drink it

50 cl Berlin can. Dark, deep red colour with a good off-white head. Aromas of toffee, sweet bread, malts, alcohol, grass. Flavour and palate are pretty straight-forward, low carbonation with fairly strong bitterness all throughout. Flavours are not very distinct, overpowered by the bitterness. Good malty body, but cant find much else. Overall quite good, the right kind of sweet aroma, a little too bitter in the style for my taste, but the malty body makes up for it a bit.

Poured from a pint can into a tulip glass. The beer is a nice dark brown red that lets you know you are in for a hoppy ride. The smell is perhaps the weakest aspect of this classic beer. It doesnt give you much to work with and is pretty indistinct. Tastewise this doesnt quite seem like the facepunch of hops that it felt like 10+ years ago, but it is still a tasty combo of hops with a malty backbone. Overall, this is a classic beer that I have enjoyed for many years and still pick up semi-regularly. I like that it is available in cans now, too!

Malty in the nose. Pours brown amber. Malty bready taste gives way to hoppy bitterness that lingers. Overall very palateable.

0.5l can. Hopy aroma, pine, flowers. Clear copper color, pale beige head. Hopy taste malty notes, pine, floral notes, high, but pleasant bitter. Full body, creamy texture, soft carbonation and dry, bitter finish. Very good.

A most fitting inauguration beer. Heres to you Donald, may your reign be short and forgettable! Malty, sweet and strong aroma of dark dried fruits, lightly roasted malt and caramel, with some brown sugar in the back. The flavour is surprisingly hoppy, with distinct notes of grapefruit and even some grass that easily balances the dark dried fruits and caramel. Also hints of spices in the back. Moderate sweet taste with a rather heavy bitter finish. Medium body, smooth and dry texture and fairly soft carbonation. This arrogant bastard is a nice one (as opposed the other arrogant bastard that is currently polluting my TV screen).
[50 cl can, enjoyed 7 months after canning, trade with an Untappd dude]
