COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This is an aggressive beer. You probably won’t like it. It is quite doubtful that you have the taste or sophistication to appreciate an ale of this quality and depth.

Caramel and pines in aroma - nice! Red-ish colour, nice head (a bit too big while pouring). Intense caramel taste, malty. Excellent IPA, must-taste!

Aromas of caramel, lots of it. Pours a hazy dark brown with pillowy head. Taste of toast and caramel and dough. Really great.

Review based on the BJCP2015 guidelines (style 22B). Can 50 cl - Batch 170418DE0103 (BBF 13.JAN2018). AROMA: médium malt aroma with notes of caramel, maillard (bread crust) and slight nutty. Background of smooth alcohol with a vinous aspecto. APPEARANCE: âmbar color and clear. large light Brown head with good retention. leg formation. TASTE: medium-high malt flavor with notes of caramel, toasty, bread crust and a faint resin hop note. médium-high bitterness with a dry and bitter finish that endures. PALATE: médium body with médium carbonation. OVERALL: and american strong ale without much hop presence.

Phenomenal really. There is berry, there is Hops, there is caramel malts, and when they all blend together it just works. Really like it. Good beer.

I discovered this gem about a dozen years ago, in a restaurant in Oakland. To be honest, I ordered it because the name intrigued me. What I soon realized, however, was that it was a great beer. I went out the next day in search for some to bring home. While it’s not my everyday drinker, I always keep it on hand for those occasions when I want something special.

UPDATED: SEP 5, 2017 Excellent IPA! It is soft and slick but still hardcore enough to satisfy the rough drinkers! I went in unexpecting, but this is truely a nice surprise. High score.

Wow. en fantastisk øl. God fyldig smag. Tilpas med bitterhed og sødme. Lidt kedeligt udseende

I have had this several times, have no idea why I haven’t rated it. Clear amber to copper, medium tan head. Caramelly and bready malt, loads of piney and citric hops. Medium to full bodied, medium carbonation. Dry, high bitterness.
