This is an aggressive beer. You probably won’t like it. It is quite doubtful that you have the taste or sophistication to appreciate an ale of this quality and depth.

Arrogant bastard first hit my lips at Tantalum in Long Beach. I fell in love with the strong flavor and bitterness of this beer. Recently tried oaked arrogant bastard and its very good also with a slight oak flavor. You can find us @ www.beerdrinkerunion.com

Wow. en fantastisk øl. God fyldig smag. Tilpas med bitterhed og sødme. Lidt kedeligt udseende

I have had this several times, have no idea why I haven’t rated it. Clear amber to copper, medium tan head. Caramelly and bready malt, loads of piney and citric hops. Medium to full bodied, medium carbonation. Dry, high bitterness.

Can from Beer52.Deep amber-chestnut with a big beige head. Big flavours of port and fruit - plum and orange maybe - followed by hefty pine hops & some grapefruit too. Sweet up front but a big bitterness balances it. Overall it’s a big beer (possibly even punching above it’s not inconsiderable strength), but a balanced beer - and a very tasty one at that. Nice one.

Can. Pours clear rubyt with medium foamy reddish head. Aroma is fruity with loads of caramel, biscuits, spices, touch of licuorice, cherry. Taste: solid malty background, light sweet, moderate to heavy bitter, caramel and biscuity mouthfeel. Heavy body, soft carbonation, lively texture, heavy bitter finish. Superb smooth nose, super aggressive mouthfee, love it!

0,5 l Dose. Rotes, leicht trübes Bier, stabiler, cremefarbener Schaum, perfekte Gardine.

50 cl. can @ Home. Aroma: not very intense aromas of toasted malts, caramel, malts, bread crust, biscuits. Only very subtle hops’ overtones. Hints of alcohol. Appearance: deep amber to brown color with high head thickness. Very creamy foam. Beige head made of mid to big sized bubbles. Low to medium hazyness. Very high retention. Medium Brussels’ lacing. Taste: medium sweetness, medium bitterness, no sourness. Flavors of toasted malts, caramel, bread crust, biscuits. Burnt caramel and roasted malts overtones. Balance is towards the sweetness. No much perceived bitternessat first. Sweet at first and more bitter towards the end. Alcohol level is noticeable in the flavor. Palate: medium body, oily to creamy texture, low to medium carbonation, very long bittersweet (more bitter than sweet and increasingly bitter) finish with flavors of toasted malts, caramel, hints of burnt caramel and roasted malts. The bitterness is slightly astringent. Overall: very good color and appearance. Not very intense but good toasted malts and caramel aromas. Good flavors too. Not much noticeable hops in aroma or flavor. A very good beer. Pretty pleasant and drinkable. Very complex mix of flavors. Intriguing.

beautiful appearance of clear dark amber to mahogany colour, extremely huge, dense beige-ish head, which lasts for several minutes; aroma of dried fruity and resiny notes, some toasted bread and biscuits; taste of intensive hoppy bitterness, malty-syrupy sweetness, some dried fruits and orange zest; great beer but still, will not be my favourite...anyway, its appearance is really one of the best I’ve ever seen so far!
