This is an aggressive beer. You probably wont like it. It is quite doubtful that you have the taste or sophistication to appreciate an ale of this quality and depth.

On tap at Dan's. The pour is a deep ruby/brown pour, lightly opaque with a small head of medium khaki that leaves some great lacing. The aroma is strongly malty with a subtle underlying hop to it. Very good and very deep. A nice caramel and earthiness hides a bitterness that's just lying in wait. The taste is definitely sweet and malty up front but then this arrogant bastard just blasts you with a great bitter hoppiness. Lightly floral, strongly bitter, and nicely malty on the back end. The mouth feel is light, but had great carbonation backing it up with a lingering, very dry, bitter, malty aftertaste. I like it! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Excelente cerveza. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Can from Berlin - BB May 2017. Malty aroma of dark fruits. So flat in taste... some grass, some herbs, tea (?), earth and nothing much more. Bitter, disturbing aftertaste. Huge disappointment. What the fuck with this legendary ale???

Stone Berlin. Puszka 500ml. Barwa rubinowa, piwo opalizujące. Piana bardzo obfita, zbita, kremowa w kolorze beżowym. Wygląda pięknie. Aromat jest bardzo ciekawy. Ciemne owoce, rodzynki - przypomina belgijskiego quadrupla. Wysoka i przyjemna. Piwo bardzo ciekawe, warte sprobowania.

WoW an Arrogant Bastard just popped up right in front of me. And a big waring on the can that I might not like this. Ha ha it is surely a solid lovely brew. Everyone likes this.
A really lovely clear mahogany color with a fine tan head. Looks good and inviting. Fine lacing also. Quite moderate intensity in the aroma. Mostly caramel malt in the nose. Not that inviting. Medium + body and a fine carbonation level. Easy to drink. Not enough sweetness to back up the bitterness. A bit unbalanced actually. Caramel bomb de lux. It actually kills the grapefruit hoppy goodies almost completely. Not good. Also some dried fruit in the flavor.
The warning was right. I did not like this.

Can from Salt Horse. Murky ruby body with a dense beige head. Good lacing. Aroma of caramel and earth. Flavour of cranberry, stewed tea and a bitter finish. Medium body with an oily mouthfeel. Light fizz. Mega hoppy - which I normally love - but I found this beer to be, frankly, quite boring. I expected much more based on previous reviews.

Pours a dark caramel color. Aroma has some wood and toffee notes. Taste has caramel, dark fruits and some booze. Strong hop presence as well. Lingering bitterness. Very complex, very tasty
