This is an aggressive beer. You probably won’t like it. It is quite doubtful that you have the taste or sophistication to appreciate an ale of this quality and depth.

This was the first craft beer I ever tried, which was about 3 years ago, and I remember thinking it tasted like tree bark. I couldn’t get past a few sips from the bottle. Now that I’m older I feel as if I can fully appreciate this beast. Hoppy aroma with some pine scents. When you drink it, it starts nice and smooth and sweet with said pine notes and some minor lemony and grapefruity flavors as well, but then you begin to notice the carbonation and the flavor profile quickly shifts to bitter and remains that way for the finish. It’s this quick flavor shift quality that makes this beer really complex and interesting to me. I love the appearance of this beer. Hold it up to a light source. It’s blood red with a nice thick head. Great beer that’s fun to drink at parties.

Bordowa barwa. Ladna grubsza piana. W zapachu grejfrutowe i wyraznie slodowe. W skamku wyrazna przyjemna goryczka przez dluzszy czas pozostajaca na podniebieniu. Piwo naprawde warte polecenia!

UPDATED: JUL 21, 2017 Stylistically I don’t really know how to classify this beer, but I know I like it! Bitter but malty, boozy but still pleasant to drink: this is a beer I don’t see myself getting tired of.

You are not worth it, truth be told no one is. It is quite strong, maybe just a bit bitter. But be aware that you should have just a little bit, after more than one there is high risk of having a bad next day.

Taste: rich, smooth, malty, roasted flavors balance well with just the right amount of hops for this style. Mildly spice malt nose. Deep mahogany/copper hue, mostly clear, with a tan head and some lace. Medium/full body. Very drinkable.

Flasche in den USA und jetzt auch 0,5l Dose aus Berlin. Braun kastanienfarbenes klares Bier, schöne Kohlensäurebläschen an der Glaswand. Brauner hoher Schaum. Toffe, Malz, Karamel und Hopfen in der Nase. Dazu etwas reifer Käse. Der Antrunk ist ein Schlag ins Gesicht. Wuchtig bittere Kräuter. Viel Hopfen. Hat was von Fernet Branka. Dazu Malz und verbranntes Karamell. Langes extrem bitteres Finish. Eisenkraut. Go Stone!

Caramel and pines in aroma - nice! Red-ish colour, nice head (a bit too big while pouring). Intense caramel taste, malty. Excellent IPA, must-taste!

Aromas of caramel, lots of it. Pours a hazy dark brown with pillowy head. Taste of toast and caramel and dough. Really great.

Review based on the BJCP2015 guidelines (style 22B). Can 50 cl - Batch 170418DE0103 (BBF 13.JAN2018). AROMA: médium malt aroma with notes of caramel, maillard (bread crust) and slight nutty. TASTE: medium-high malt flavor with notes of caramel, toasty, bread crust and a faint resin hop note. médium-high bitterness with a dry and bitter finish that endures.
