This is an aggressive beer. You probably won’t like it. It is quite doubtful that you have the taste or sophistication to appreciate an ale of this quality and depth.

Very good but not as great as some is putting it out to be. Alcohol comes out stronger but less than it should given the 7.2% content. Heavy to the tongue, sweet and bitter Typically I can’t drink more than 1 22oz bottle without the taste becoming too overpowering. A nice shock when first drank, evne though the aroma warns you already.

500 ml Berlin can. Pours with reddish-brown color and a medium off-white head.Nose of earthy hops, roasted malts, some yeast and some toffee. Very strong, bitter taste, slightly licorice sweet, resinous. Strong bitter finish.

Can (Berlin)! Medium amber opaque brown with a medium tan foam subsiding slow. Scent is dense notes of barleywine. Cherrywood. Taste is light, frothy, lightly citric barleywine, I think. Possibly properties of rye. Finish is dry and light. Tiny bit of apple, hinting at imperfection. Great.

F: huge, tan/tanned, good retention. C: dark to dark coppery against the light, hazy. A: a lot of caramel malt, fruity, grapefruit, biscuits. T: big malty backbone, biscuits, citrus, fruity, caramel, long lasting bitterness on the palate, bit herbal/floral, bit warming alcohol, full body, low to medium carbonation, very good, really enjoyed, 50cl can as “Stone (Berlin) Arrogant Bastard Ale” from Bierwinkel De Hopduvel in Gent.

12oz bottle. Pours mahogany brown with a thick beige head. Aroma is pine, toffee, and lots of malt. Taste is very hoppy (pine and earth) matched with lots of malt (toffee, toast, caramel, hints of dough, etc.) with some fruits and a touch of metal as well. Light-medium body. Moderate carbonation. Creamy mouthfeel.

From 473ml can. Poured with rich, inch high head with great retention. Aroma was of metallic berries, not good. Aroma is more caramel malt as it warms. Taste is of malt with a little sweetness, then strong bitterness in the back end. Not that impressed

500 ml can as Stone Berlin. Served in tulip. Pours blood red, with big fluffy and firm head. Fantastic look. Bitter grapefruit aroma and some other tropical fruits, elderflower, some dark cherry, some metallic and earthy notes. Heavy hoppy bitterness. Alcohol perfectly hidden. Soft carbonated, full body. Bitter finish. Palatable. Long lasting aftertaste. This beer has character.
