This is an aggressive beer. You probably wont like it. It is quite doubtful that you have the taste or sophistication to appreciate an ale of this quality and depth.

UPDATED: APR 11, 2013 Pours a dark amber with a dirty head. Looks like it will tast like an amber, but instead a wonderful and powerful hoppiness attacks the palate. Not as much aroma as I would have thought, but nice caramel notes without the attendant burnt malt flavor that usually accompanies caramel malts. Hints of pine and citrus. Full bodied. A great beer. Update, 4/11/13: Just bought another 22oz. bottle, and this is a VERY different beer - not dark amber, but almost as dark as a porter. And strong notes of a toasty malt. Although the bitterness is still there, this bottle of AB is MUCH darker than any other I have had. Must have been a bad batch. I would rate this as a 3.0 overall,

Huge Carmel and toffy and nutty kick, lots of tasty bitter hops on the back end. Strong but not overwhelming. This is pretty good stuff!

Aroma - pleasant and complex, predominantly with caramelized malt, caramel, toffee, chocolate with milk and nuts, honey, some dried fruits, a bit of yeasts. Taste - identical with aroma, with some fresh grounded grains and a log and pleasant bitterness. Very good!

Can from beer52 beer club. Fabulous beer, dark and malty and you can taste the caramel in there. Not as hoppy as I was expecting to find but great nonetheless. Very strong, you know youve had a tin of this!

Can from Wine Rack, Burpham. The EU version. Hops and malts, slightly pungent - not as strong an aroma as I was expecting. A medium chestnut. Light beige head, creamy but it soon recedes. Bitter, but the hops are never over the top. Medium bodied. Oily. A lot of carbonation going on there. Long but restrained finish. I like that warming sensation you get from a beer of this ABV but not really getting much of that. I like it but this mutha is not as up in my face as I was expecting.

This beer is quite hoppy; hoppy in a way that kind of distracts from what else is going on with it. Its good, but its got a dry finish thats almost overstated.

Stone Berlin, puszka, data do 01.04.2017 r.

Aromas of caramel, toffee, slight pine and lemon citrus. Taste is as it smells: caramel, toffee, lemon. Although, a stronger grapefruit rind presence builds as it travels down the tongue; and pine notes appear in the finish and after taste as well.
