Bottle at home. Pours clear amber, nose is pine, spruce, caramel, taste is piney, spruce, woody. Bit too much like drinking a tree.

Bottle from hop hideout, sheffield. Red ale with white head. Aroma of spruce and christmas trees i suppose!? Taste is a bit sweet and bitter and dry. Prickly and medium.

Cask at the Rake, 28/12/13. Clear golden amber with a thin off white covering that dissipates to edgework. Nose is sprucey wood, herbal qualities, bitter orange, light spice, hay, pineapple chunks, melon. Taste comprises orange pith, light caramel, straw, bitter orange, spice, wood shavings. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, dry finale with light bitterness. Decent enough for style.

Cask at the pig’s ear fest 2013. Light amber pour with a light haze and a loose big bubble white head. Aroma is spruce needles and pine. Flavour is light cara malt, light smoke then cinammon and spruce. Spicy. Spices are too strong.

Hazy amber beer, small pale cream coloured head. Palate is crispy and dry. Dry semi sweet malt. Something that tastes like mellow ginger. Smooth dry pine. A little spice. Very dry finish. Light bitter linger. Not a bad crimbo beer but flipping dry!

Bottle. The label says that it was bottled by Mighty Hop. Slightly cloudy appearance which wasn’t very inviting.Brown, small head and pretty lifeless. Some fruits and spices are present but all round this what i call a ’might have been beer’ My first from this brewery and rather disappointing.

Bottle. Hazy golden brown with a thin head. Aromas are spruce with spices and floral aspects. Biscuit with melon and background caramel. Woody with caramel and light grape juice. Spiced tea with soft spices. Flavours are sweet biscuit and caramel with woody pine and grapefruit and pine bitterness. Peppery, warming alcohol with hints of marzipan Pretty decent.
