This golden wine accents the floral aromas of Vermont wildflower honey. It is crisp, light and refreshing with 12.4% alcohol and 5% residual sugar. Hints of flowers infuse the air while your palate may detect pear, citrus and figs. Our Traditional Mead is a great still wine that can be served as an aperitif or that pairs well with light summer fare, spicy sweet and sour dishes or a fabulous cheese plate. This is natureís bounty captured in a bottle!

Draught - Very faint yellow. Clear. Looks still. Smells very sweet. Lots of ginger and lemon peel. Nice taste. Almost flat for a sparkling. Lots of herbal noted. Ginger is prominent. Sweet throughout.

bottle poured at waitsfield farmers market. Clear pour with no head. Aromas and taste are weird spice, fire, honey, and random herbs. Finish was average, a little more sweetness but still very, dry and hot overall.

Bottle sampled at the Farmerís Market with Vinny and Keith. Pours a light golden body with minimal bubbles. Aroma is strong woody fruit, flowers and alcohol. Mouthfeel is dry with notes of alcohol and fruit - essentially thatís it. That this was a bit too harsh, especially considering the alcohol.

I enjoyed this mead. Full flavored and lightly fruity with apple, flowers, honey, and a bit of a sweetness left over. Quite tasty.

500ml bottle from City Market Onion River Co-Op in Burlington, VT. Pours a crystal clear, very pale straw colored body with no head. Aroma is funky, sweaty socks with a woodiness that mixes with a sweet honey and floral backing. Not as terrible as it sounds, but definitely interesting. Flavor is somewhat better. Fairly woody throughout with a bit of a minty leaf note and funk alongside a honey sweetness, touches of pear, some florals, and a bit of a spiciness before this finishes dry, yet sweet with a fairly lengthy aftertaste. Light-medium body. Overall, a dryer mead that has a nice sweetness, but interesting funk and woodiness throughout. Iím not the biggest mead connoisseur, but this one was kind of weird. Not the biggest fan of this one right now.

A blonde mead with a rather interesting wild grass honey and wood chips...someone next to me said it reminded them of port-o-potty wood shavings. In mouth, a light sweet honey with clovers, mint wild funk, nice. Tasted a Shelburne Vineyards, April 7 2012.

Pours a nice light pale yellow. Aromas of fresh honey with nice light floral notes. Flavor is wonderful honey, not too sweet. Light floral notes with hints of herbal undertones. On the thinner side yet very nice. I like it.

Sampled from the bottle at the shop. Poured a clear pale gold with no head whatsoever. Aroma was sweet with honey with a bit of a fruit backing and a hint of flora. Flavor brought out more than just honey with a bit of fruit and flora for some complexity. Nice and smooth.
