Bottle. Clear, black with ruby reflections, small beige head. Aroma of coffee, chocolate, cherries, plums, liqueur. Taste is prominenty roasty bitter, slightly sweet. Heavy coffee tones, chocolate. Medium body and carbonation.

quite dry and toasty, ending with some black tea notes. A good starting point but lacking finesse perhaps. Lots of malt character but missing something, perhaps hop freshness or fruity yeast esters.

Goed zwart, prima schuim. Ruikt moutig en beetje chocola. Niet zo sterk qua smaak maar wel prima.

Black, thin tan head that dissipates quickly, light lacing
Aroma of roasted malts, soft roast coffee, soft dark sweet malts
Taste of roasted malts, soft coffee, dark sweet malts in background offset fairly bitter roast, tasty
Palate - Soft carb, medium body, bitter roast balanced well with dark malts. Finish is quite bitter, bit dry, some burnt toast.
Overall - Good example of a dry stout, needs a swirl to get the flavours out
Bottle from Supervalu. Black with a red hue, thin bubbly head. Aroma of roast malt. Flavour of velvet chocolate, roast malt, dry coffee finish. Fruit and ash on the finish.
