Just an altbier. Good but nothing special. I will buy it again at the brewery it not at the store. Lacking in presentation but a solid flavor.

It’s a decent beer, but it needs more complexity. It’s inconsistent in flavor, and tends towards the watery side, even with proper carbonation. Johny0 (5) - - JUL 7, 2013 does not count
On tap at Arvada Beer poured a clear dark brown with a small lingering tan head. Aromas of roastiness, dark chocolate, light coffee and a hint of smoke. Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of roasted malt, dark chocolate, light coffee and light smoke with a smooth lingering roasty finish. fonefan (50669) - VestJylland, DENMARK - JUN 6, 2012

Bottled. A dark amber beer with a huge off-white head. The aroma has notes of malt, caramel, and bread. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, and bread, leading to a dry finish. The body is a bit light. Thanks pinball for sharing. Papsoe (25059) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - MAY 23, 2012
Bottle 35,5 cl. Courtesy of Pinball. Pours a clear nutty brown with a beige head. Sweet roast aroma, a little dark dried fruit. Medium body, lovely sweet roast and again these pruney notes. Bitter finish. A German probably wouldn’t recognize this as a Schwarz, but it’s a lovely beer. 230512 yespr (47039) - Copenhagen O, DENMARK - MAY 23, 2012
