Whale watch!! Tap @ Bone Daddies. The pour’s deep gold with a bizarrely thick creamy white head. The nose is spiced cream corn, marshmallow. The taste is somewhat bitter mineral, grain. More sweet corn. Crisp fizzy finish. Light body, soft. Overall, whatever, it doesn’t detract from the ramen.

On draft at Tokyo's Narita International Airport. Pours yellow with a thick, pillowy, white head. Copious, sticky lacing. Nose is all malt. Rather sweet. Not bad beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Honey, alcohol aroma. Fruity malt flavor, biscuit, bittersweet finish. Surprisingly decent Asahi lager with indeed a creamy mouthfeel.

Poured this bad boy with a normal, half inch head (take that gross fake creamy head supporters!) Aroma is faintly sweet, surprisingly thick mouthfeel with some real hop flavor! The first half second of this beer ain’t half bad! Then it gets disgusting as it warms up in you mouth: cardboardy with a strange tingle and flavor of alcohol even though it is only 6%.

UPDATED: MAY 29, 2013 Can from Lawson. Sweetish aroma, cookies, light fruit. Pretty medium straw color (or is it just the afternoon sun slanting into the glass?) Yeah, the head is creamy, but it dissipates quickly. Mild maltiness (maybe too mild for a "premium") with some decent hopping in the initial / doesn’t goes much further in any direction. Thin-medium body. Not too bad. Nothing stands out, which is the way of the Japanese major companies, more often than not. Okay, unexciting, stuff.

Lata. Clear golden, surprisingly nice medium white creamy like head. Mild aroma bit hoppis, bit malty, light fruit to it. Good soft creamy mouthfeel. Soft flavour, bit sweet, fruitish mild hops, mild malt. Soft and pleasant creamish brew.

Can from Family Mart. The place to go for booze and cigs. Today I am on a industrial lager roll. The new one from Asahi. 6%. It says on the can that it is designed solely for pouring into a glass. Excellent. "Pour it into a glass and enjoy the creamy head and the aroma." I hope so. It does look nice. Deep gold with a huge, fine, creamy head. OK! Nose is biscuity malt, bready, with light hops. Like it’s trying to be a helles. Flavor is crisp, not too sweet, but slightly alcoholic. There are some tingly hops and a bit of bitterness, though it is almost in balance. A touch of citrus. Creamy for sure. It’s not bad at all, though not as good as it thinks it is. Decent. Asahi does all right when they try.
