Clear medium amber colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, nutty, light roasted. Flavor is moderate to light light heavy sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, sharp nutty, toffee, butter notes. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat.

William IV, London. Amber colour, small head. Aroma is wood, mild resiny and riped fruity notes. Flavour is caramel, wood, some resiny and a bit nutty notes as well. Pleasant.
23rd July 2010. On tap at the Old Dispensary - Aldgate E1. Clear amber beer, littlw white head. Semi dry palate. Tangy orange, dark marmalade. Bitterish finish. Pretty decent. Another beer in good condition at this lovely stylish pub.

Cask at the Wallington and Croydon BF, London. Pours dark gold with a light, white head. Bit of floral hops in the aroma, with some dough. Light to medium sweet flavor, floral bitterness, some straw. Light bodied with fine carbonation. OK balanced finish, toasty dough, some mild citrus, hay. Very nice drinker. Light golden with a thin off-white head.
Floral hops on the nose and a smearing of orange marmalade allied to some sour tones, grapefruit and a little caramel.
Bitter orange taste, toffee, more of that orange marmaladeness.

Sweet malty aroma. Gentle bitter palate, but nice peppery hops build up gradually. Touch of ginger too. Unexceptional, but pretty tasty bitter.
