Pours orange-amber into the glass, with a wispy head that reduces to nothing, leaving trace lacing. The nose is of French yeasty esters, what Burial Beer is known for. Lots of melons, yeasty esters, tangerine citrus, orange and finishing with a touch of ABV heat and mildly bittering hops. The grains and yeast make the palate full and slick, semi-oily and sticky, with a full-body and easy drinkability. What a gorgerous Impy Saison! firedog23 (73) - Asheville, North Carolina, USA - JAN 11, 2014
Great beer and representation of the style. Poured from the bottle and at the brewery. Pours a nice, deep straw color with a good head. Notes of fruit, French hops and a strong yeast character. Lovely beer for any time of the year. I am holding one for the summertime to see how it ages. Dogbones (116) - North Carolina, USA - JAN 21, 2014
Pours a light amber with a nice white head. Smells strongly of saison yeast. Fruit esters abound by the mouthful. Nice hop aftertaste! Nice job Burial!!!

Bottle pour light gold. Nose rose, floral, sweet and some ester. Taste sweet up front, some bubble gum sweet, minimal spice, some floral. Very set finish. AVLBeerMagnet (17) - Asheville, North Carolina, USA - FEB 18, 2014
A great brew that imparts an incredible amount of sweet pineapple candy due to the immense addition of late addition hops. Kind of confused by everyone’s belief that it is "sugar/sweet." The beer is like 1.009, so it’s incredibly dry - and I think everyone unfortunately does not understand what flavors alcohol, hops and yeast can create over time. Good beer, and would recommend to many.

22 oz bottle shared by?? Pours a slightly hazy golden color with a small off white head. The aroma and flavor have a sweet Belgian yeast, sweet esters, some fruity notes, slight hay, not as herbal as most saisons. Good, not great. Travlr (25828) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - AUG 25, 2014
Bottle. Clear golden amber color. Aroma of earthy dust, barnyard overripe fruit. Taste starts fruity, peppery, dusty and sweet, but dries out toward the finish. Tasty. Leighton (22054) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - FEB 16, 2014
Bottle shared at RBWG 2014 Late Night tasting - Asheville. Pours hazy gold with a light, creamy head. Rich beer with floral accents, bready malts, white sugar, yeast. Full bodied with fine carbonation. Moderately warming on the finish with more rich, pale bread, mild alcohol, yeasty dough, light fruit notes. Good but would probably be better if it hadn’t been imperialised. Ferris (16300) - Burnaby, British Columbia, CANADA - FEB 6, 2014
Bottle - Gold malts and yeast. Cloudy fold with a thin head. Big boozy light malts and a ton of yeast. I am not a fan of this style but it is done well. Sledutah (7792) - Utah, USA - FEB 18, 2014
