Bottle. Clear golden amber color. Aroma of earthy dust, barnyard overripe fruit. Taste starts fruity, peppery, dusty and sweet, but dries out toward the finish. Tasty. jackl (8029) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - JUN 24, 2014
Bottleshare in Asheville. Quite soupy. Earthy saison yeast dominates the nose. The taste is fairly neutral. Some melon and pear. Spring harvest. More yeast. Medium body, sort of ruddy. OK. OldGrowth (3474) - the Containment Area, North Carolina, USA - JUN 4, 2014
Bottle, from Bruisin Ales, I think. Ok aroma, sweet. Apple, orange, bready malts, little floral, some yeasty spice. Sort of peppery. 1st pour, clean brownish orange color, small head that faded quick, little to no lace. Sweet flavor. Medium body, smooth creamy mouthfeel, sweet kind od drying finish. It’s ok, on the sweet side, kind of hints at a better beer, but ultimately too sweet overall for my preference. Needs more wild.... BeerandBlues2 (13213) - Escondido, California, USA - FEB 27, 2014
Bottle at home. Pours very clear copper with a large, creamy off-white head, medium retention with good lacing. Aroma is flowers, herbal and woody hops, black pepper, earthy wheat malt, light biscuit malt notes, and cooked pears. Flavor is sweet malt, lightly stale and earthy hops, lively black pepper, aged flowers, overripe fruit, and a medium, drying finish. Medium body and carbonation. Overall, this beer holds a bit too much upfront sweetness despite finishing somewhat dry. The esters are muted, and the hops are definitely an afterthought. A great brew that imparts an incredible amount of sweet pineapple candy due to the immense addition of late addition hops. Kind of confused by everyone’s belief that it is "sugar/sweet." The beer is like 1.009, so it’s incredibly dry - and I think everyone unfortunately does not understand what flavors alcohol, hops and yeast can create over time. Good beer, and would recommend to many.

Clear golden with a small white head and no lacing. Aroma of toasted malts and citrus. Flavors of caramel, fruity and malty
Bottle shared at Beer Study a few weeks back. This was really bad. Like Olde Hickory’s attempts at saison bad. Wish I could have warned Mike before he wasted his time with this mess of a beer. Should never have been released. A sweet mess, and I use sweet in the literal sense. One of the worst saisons I have ever had. You’re welcome for that glowing endorsement. Bottle shared at RBWG 2014 Late Night tasting - Asheville. Pours hazy gold with a light, creamy head. Rich beer with floral accents, bready malts, white sugar, yeast. Full bodied with fine carbonation. Moderately warming on the finish with more rich, pale bread, mild alcohol, yeasty dough, light fruit notes. Good but would probably be better if it hadn’t been imperialised. phaleslu (10103) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - FEB 15, 2014
Bottle shared up in the Aloft Beer Fart Dungeon, I think by Travlr (?). Pours a gold color with a small white head. Notes of wheat, cereal, corn, sugar- like a sweet breakfast cereal. Too sugary and sweet. Light-medium bodied, with moderate carbonation and a sweet, malty mouthfeel. Pretty one-note and disappointing. Drake (13652) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - FEB 13, 2014
