The bartender said they slightly changed the recipe recently. I had it a while ago, and it was really good, but just tried again last night and I liked it a lot more. Had two pints when I expected to get a different beer with each round. Best straight Pale Ale in Asheville right now for me. Tired of seeing Sierra Nevada Pale Ale all over town when this and other Asheville breweries' Pale Ales are way, way better. DiarmaidBHK (5896) - Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 30, 2017
Draft at Asheville Retrocade. Pours golden with a white head. Leaves some lacing in the glass. Has some solid grass notes on the nose and tongue. Finished clean. Solid but nothing special. slowrunner77 (12804) - Reno, Nevada, USA - APR 5, 2016
a nice light colored and bodied pale that was pine and citrus hop forward. Drank like a session ipa. Dogbrick (13759) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - JUL 22, 2015
Sample at the brewpub. Pours a copper-amber color with a medium off-white head that diminishes quickly to a film. Spotty lacing. Aroma of floral hops, citrus and malt. Medium-bodied with flavors of herbal hops, citrus and bready malt. The finish is mildly bitter with a fruity hops aftertaste. Decent overall. 4oz on tap at the brewpub. Clear orange amber color. Thin off-white head. Thicker sheets of lace. Looks good. Smooth, kind of soft, lighter carbonation. Light dry finish, more slick though. Moderate-plus bitter taste, moderate sweet. Smooth, kind of soft, lighter carbonation. Lightly slick. A very nice, hoppier pale ale overall. ben4321 (6735) - Hoboken, New Jersey, USA - JAN 20, 2015

Aroma: This one has a mild nose of pale malts, and some light hops
Appearance: Pours a clear orange, with an off white head, and medium-plus lace
Flavor: It has a light hop flavor, is also light sweet, with some spice notes
Palate: It has a fairly light body, and closes with a long, somewhat dry finish
I thought this was a pretty decent one, but nothing too exciting or memorable.
On tap at brewpub. Amber with white head. Smell is hoppy pine and floral with some fruit and caramel. Taste is caramel malty with fruit and floral hops. Semi dry with low carbonation and low bitterness. jandd1983 (4604) - Wentzville, Missouri, USA - JUN 7, 2014
Sampled at the brewpub. It poured an amber/tan color with an off-white head. The aroma was of caramel with some bread and light hops. The taste was similar with a little maltiness in the backend.
