Very hoppy on the smell. Smooth. Looks great. Good head. Nice red amber color. Taste is a little hoppy. A little malty. A little light and water on the palate. Finish is smooth. I had low expectations looking at the other beers but this was an amazing beer. Exactly what a pale ale should be.

a nice light colored and bodied pale that was pine and citrus hop forward. Drank like a session ipa.

Dogbrick (13010) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - JUL 22, 2015
Sample at the brewpub. Pours a copper-amber color with a medium off-white head that diminishes quickly to a film. Spotty lacing. Aroma of floral hops, citrus and malt. Medium-bodied with flavors of herbal hops, citrus and bready malt. The finish is mildly bitter with a fruity hops aftertaste. Decent overall.

4oz on tap at the brewpub. Clear orange amber color. Thin off-white head. Thicker sheets of lace. Looks good. Smooth, kind of soft, lighter carbonation. Light dry finish, more slick though. Moderate-plus bitter taste, moderate sweet. Smooth, kind of soft, lighter carbonation. Lightly slick. A very nice, hoppier pale ale overall.

Location: Draft at Asheville Pizza and Brewing Company (Merrimon Ave), 1/3/15

Aroma: This one has a mild nose of pale malts, and some light hops
Appearance: Pours a clear orange, with an off white head, and medium-plus lace
Flavor: It has a light hop flavor, is also light sweet, with some spice notes
Palate: It has a fairly light body, and closes with a long, somewhat dry finish
Overall Impression: I thought this was a pretty decent one, but nothing too exciting or memorable.

ramboraffe (2254) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - OCT 18, 2014
On tap at brewpub. Amber with white head. Smell is hoppy pine and floral with some fruit and caramel. Taste is caramel malty with fruit and floral hops. Semi dry with low carbonation and low bitterness.

jandd1983 (4318) - Wentzville, Missouri, USA - JUN 7, 2014
Sampled at the brewpub. It poured an amber/tan color with an off-white head. The aroma was of caramel with some bread and light hops. The taste was similar with a little maltiness in the backend.

b3shine (8872) - Indiana, USA - JUN 2, 2014
Draft to taster at the Coxe Ave brewpub. Looks decent; malty though. A transparent copper with off-white head. Smells malty too; sweet pale malt and some hops. Getting close to cloying on the nose. Tastes like it smells, but not quite as sweet. Average on the palate. Okay.

Cybercat (5833) - Georgia, USA - MAY 23, 2014
Comes out of the tap a dark amber with a respectable pale tan head. Malty aroma has a strong hoppy note that pushes it towards an IPA. Flavor is more hoppy than malty, somewhat bitter, rather IPA-ish. Texture is fizzy and smooth, if not firm. 828 is Asheville’s area code - I got your number right here!
