Suttree (6484) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - SEP 21, 2009
On tap at the brewery whilst waiting for our to-go pizza - turns out they don’t deliver to Knoxville. Dark caramel colored, with a thin tan head. Nutty, ever-so-slightly smokey aroma. Earthy malt flavors up front, with some caramel notes. Mildly bitter finish. Elwood (3336) - Leesburg, Virginia, USA - AUG 31, 2009
Appearance: Hazy amber with a small, white head. Decent lacing.
Aroma: Caramel notes, lightly roasted malt, and a little grain.
Taste: Caramel, a little bit of earthiness, a touch of nuttiness, light hop backbone, some toasted notes.
Palate: Medium carbonation with a medium mouthfeel. Medium, malty finish.
Overall: Pretty ho hum in the wide world of amber ales.
Rebuy: Probably not. Just not that inticing. shp555 (2024) - Atlanta, Georgia, USA - JUL 24, 2009

Sampled at the brewery. Good brew, but the selection of styles was causing the beers to run together in my mind at this point. Amber, pale ale, ESB, etc... none of them really stood apart from the others. Drake (14059) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - MAR 5, 2009
Sampled on draft at the brewpub. Pours a dark amber color with a large head. Good head retention and lacing. The aroma is toasted malts, nuts, caramel and a faint spicy hop finish. Taste is nutty, toasted malts, caramel and leafy hops. Medium bodied.
