Draft at the Coxe Ave location. Poured a slightly dark, slightly translucent orange color with a small fluffy white head. Aroma was light roasted pepper, no heat, just some of the fruit with a touch of light sweet malts. Flavor was subtle heat, some pleasant pepper notes with a malty finish. ajnepple (7344) - Lakewood, Colorado, USA - OCT 13, 2013
Sampled at GABF 2013. Orange appearance with a beige head. Spicy jalapeño pepper aroma. Similar flavor with light malts and spices. Braudog (6900) - Yorktown, Virginia, USA - OCT 8, 2011
Draft at the brewpub on Coxe. Wow ... this is an aptly named brew. The pepper jumps out at you instantly and sticks with you. Quite spicy, but the pepper is also well-woven into a solid pale ale. If this is your thing, it’s a good thing. But not for everyone. (#4295, 10/5/2011) ben4321 (6839) - Hoboken, New Jersey, USA - JAN 20, 2015

Aroma: This beer has a light hop nose, with some fairly strong pepper notes to it
Appearance: It pours an orange color, with an off white head and some coating lace
Flavor: The flavor is more pepper forward over the light, clean hops
Palate: It has a pretty smooth feel, with a medium body, and a pepper spice finish
This is a pretty decent pepper spice beer. I can’t complain too much, because they did a nice job with this one.
Amber color with a small, white head that left light lacing on the glass. Green pepper, floral, citrus, toast, toffee, bitter hop finish.

Tap at brewery. Lost detailed tasting notes and was only able to recover numerical rating. Suttree (6541) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - OCT 23, 2011
I think chile peppers are an underused ingredient in beer. More, please, I say! Anyway, this one smelled like jalapeno pepper and caramel. Flavor was also jalapeno and caramel at first, but eventually the pepper overtakes everything. Sure, this may be a novelty, but I liked it. decaturstevo (6343) - decatur, Tennessee, USA - OCT 12, 2011
Hazed orange pour with frothy off white head and lace. Nose completely dominates the nose. Musty jalapeno flavor that heats up some bitter on the finish but mostly hot. Thin body with light carbonation. A beer I like I’m sure more than most people. Cybercat (6340) - Georgia, USA - MAY 23, 2014
Pours a slightly hazy amber with a pale buff head. Malty aroma has a hot pepper hint. Flavor is malty and peppery - maybe a little too peppery, but still potable. Texture is smooth and, well, peppery. Can you escape this fire? DiarmaidBHK (6143) - Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 27, 2011
This is basically the escape artist with jalapenos thrown in. Pouring a light orange from tap the jalapenos dominate everything. I happen to like jalapenos but the taste is a bit one note. This stuff lingers for hours so make sure it’s the last thing you drink for the night.
