3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: JUN 13, 2014 Expected to like it more- bit of an off/ overly bitter finish to me. Pours on the orange side of yellow., Nose is citrus and tropical (citra) with some hints of white wine. Taste is fairly balanced with a dank feel. Definitely hoppy as advertised. Could be too much sweetness in the hops for me between tropical notes of citra and sweetness of El Dorado. Somewhat tempered by Nelson Sauvin. Not my favorite IPA. Will try again to like it more.
Attempt #2. On tap at Buffalo Nickel. Better than I remembered. Decently balanced- nice finish to it. Definitely lives up to the IPA label. Not outstanding, but pretty darn good.
12oz can: gold pour, white head. aroma of floral, pine, faint tropical. tastes are fruity, peach, cracker, floral, citrus acidic, rye malt backbone. light even bitter. juicy, thinnish, tingly palate. tmongoose (2504) - Louisville, Kentucky, USA - MAY 13, 2017
can shared that poured a semi cloudy yellow with white head. nice malt base and a decent aroma of hops and citrus. the flavor was decent enough not overpowering and not bad. middle of the road good and drinkable. nice malt flavor and hops including citrus types. Draft. Nose is super citrus. Inviting. Not quite juicy. More lemon than orange. Light herbal character. Taste is less impressive. Lightly herbal like the aroma with a moderate citrus character. Lightly grassy and vegetal. Meh. The initial aroma was the best part. Just downhill from there. drpimento (3641) - La Crosse, Wisconsin, USA - MAR 29, 2017
Its good beer, but not great. I get more resin than citrus or fruit in both flavor and aroma. Has kind of along bitter finish. DiarmaidBHK (4907) - Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 19, 2016
Draft at Thirsty monk. Pours light orange with a thin white head. Leaves some lacing in the glass. Smells a bit of pine cone. Nice combo of pine and floral on the tongue. Finished clean with a nice amount of bitterness on the finish. Nice.

Really nice combination of downable and mean. Pours yellow/orange with decent foam. Aroma has some kick to it, a little bit floral and a little bit pungent. The flavor is even better. Well balanced, bright, tangy, tart, some lemon, some crackery notes. I could get behind this thing regularly. drfabulous (7950) - Lexington, Kentucky, USA - NOV 23, 2016
12 ounce can. Clean yellow in color. Bitter throughout. Hops. Bright citrus notes. Nice. marcus (10231) - Sacramento, California, USA - NOV 14, 2016
Can shared by bhensonb. Pours cloudy gold with a clinging off-white head and a musty grape aroma. There is a great mixed malt flavor that features rye bitterness, then that musty grape finish. Very nice. bhensonb (15237) - Woodland, California, USA - NOV 14, 2016
Can from Bruisin Ales. Pours translucent gold with a white head. Aroma of citrus, white grape and mixed fruit. Med body. Med body or so. Flavor is white grape, mixed fruits and citrus. It’s not totally dry, but it nicely hoppy and decently biter. Good stuff. MadRobin (2988) - Silver Spring, Maryland, USA - JUL 26, 2016
Poured from 12 oz. can.
Clear golden-orange with a 3-finger an off-white head and good lacing.
Aroma of pine, tropical fruit and grapefruit.
Taste of citrus, mild tropical fruit and dank pine with some modestly sweet malt adding balance.
Medium body and medium/low carbonation.
Nice blend of hoppy flavors with enough malt to keep it tame.
