We conceived this beer to entice the sinner and saint in each of us, following one simple rule: you can never have too much of a good thing. So we took mountains of Crystal, Wheat, and Munich malts and paired them with huge handfuls of Cascade and Tradition hops for an irresistibly wicked beer thats at once temptingly sweet and scandalously bitter, with a full body and deep red color. Go on, treat yourself a little and ask for the happy ending.

Tap @ brewpub - This is much more aggreeable than the Shiva. Deeper in color with a stronger maltiness and what seems to be a more complimentary hop profile. Has more upfront fruitiness, but has a bitter bite in the finish. Decent, but needs food.

sampled at the Brewpub.Poured a golden amber color. Lots of hops on the nose.A sweet hoppy flavor. The finish had a bite to it that choked me.

Appearance: Pours a hazy, reddish-copper body with a decent off-white head. Smell: A middling caramel maltiness to the aroma, but it has a decent aromatic bite of floral, piney hops. Taste: Caramel malt flavor with reserved sweetness upfront soon gives way to a lasting floral, piney hop character and a sensible level of bitterness. Mouthfeel: Medium-thin body. Medium carbonation. Drinkability: An upright IPA.

On tap at APBC. A slightly hazed deep amber pour. An aroma of light hops a bit of sweet malt. The flavor follows suit with a good bitter. A slight sourness kept me from rating it a bit higher. A decent palate just a tad thin but carbonation was good. A decent offering as well.

On tap at APBC. Pours hazy amber with a medium thick head . Excellent balance of hoppy bitterness with the slight maltiness. Slightly grainy but with a lasting hoppy kick in the finish. This is one of my favorite brews and in my opinion the best brew Asheville Pizza has to offer..

Draught at the brewpub. Attractive hazy orange color with thick foamy head that laced the glass. Delicious floral/citrusy hop aroma. Hop flavor is dominant with a soft malty caramel flavor in the backround. Bitter hop finish with a nice cereal grain aftertaste. Very good.

On tap at the brewery. Poured hazy brownish orange. Nice hoppy fresh grain aroma. Adequate body for the style. Crisp, grassy hops with a hint of grapefruit. Light nutty malt. Long lightly bitter grapefruit finish. An enjoyable beverage and with a name like red light (as in district) you cant go wrong for #420.
