COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We conceived this beer to entice the sinner and saint in each of us, following one simple rule: you can never have too much of a good thing. So we took mountains of Crystal, Wheat, and Munich malts and paired them with huge handfuls of Cascade and Tradition hops for an irresistibly wicked beer that’s at once temptingly sweet and scandalously bitter, with a full body and deep red color. Go on, treat yourself a little and ask for the happy ending.

ChainGangGuy (4894) - Woodstock, Georgia, USA - SEP 24, 2007
Appearance: Pours a hazy, reddish-copper body with a decent off-white head. Smell: A middling caramel maltiness to the aroma, but it has a decent aromatic bite of floral, piney hops. Taste: Caramel malt flavor with reserved sweetness upfront soon gives way to a lasting floral, piney hop character and a sensible level of bitterness. Mouthfeel: Medium-thin body. Medium carbonation. Drinkability: An upright IPA.

Drake (13739) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - MAR 5, 2009
Sampled on draft at the brewpub. Pours a slightly hazy golden with a medium head. Fair head retention and lacing. Aroma of pale malts and citrus hops. Taste is bitter citrus and leafy hops. Dry finish. Medium bodied.

NachlamSie (3485) - Denver, Colorado, USA - FEB 14, 2006
draught. Pours a cloudy amber with a frothy white head. There’s grapefruit and a bit of pine in the nose. More grapefruit in the flavor, bit of twigs, some butter toffee, the hops are semi-biting. Not bad.

Tap @ APBC - pours a clear orange brown with a white head. Aroma is floral and a little grassy. Taste is mildly bitter and spicy. Bitterness lingers nicely. Overall, another above average brew.

Draft to taster at the Coxe Ave brewpub. Looks good; a very slightly hazy golden orange with eggshell head. Smells of hops and pale malt; a little sweeter than I’d prefer though. Tastes like it smells with an average mouthfeel. Alright.

Location: Draft at Asheville Pizza and Brewing Company (Merrimon Ave), 1/3/15

Aroma: This beer has a light malty aroma, with some light hops
Appearance: It pours a cloudy darker orange color, with a beige head, and mid-heavy lace
Flavor: The flavor is along the same lines, with a light sweet and light bitterness balance
Palate: The body is decent, with a solid mouthfeel, and a clean finish
Overall Impression: Okay overall, but it ends up being on the poorer side within the style. Not bad, not good, just decent. Reminds me of Amsterdam not at all (a.k.a. - I don’t understand the name.)

sampled at the Brewpub.Poured a golden amber color. Lots of hops on the nose.A sweet hoppy flavor. The finish had a bite to it that choked me.

Draft, sampler: it pours a nice orangey color with a white head. It’s aroma is sweeter than I feel an ipa should be, but it’s not bad. The bitter hoppiness isn’t quite there, but it’s drinkable and refreshing.
