This is what its like when worlds collide. We too the best parts of ales - the complex flavors and body - and mashed them up with the best parts of lagers - the drinkability and crisp finish. The experiment yielded surpassingly satisfying results. The secret lies in the special Kolsch yeast and low fermentation temperatures. Effervescent and refreshing with a bright clear straw color and light fruity flavors, Rocket Girl is at one accessible, mysterious and sophisticated. She may not be your everyday gal, but she’s got one heavenly body.

Can from Bruisin Ales. Pours slight hazy gold with a slight creamy near white head. Smells lightly fruity with some light malt. Med body. It is lightly fruity and slightly bitter. Moderately bready. Pretty Kolsch like. Finishes spicy/bitter. Not your typical premium lager.

Sample at Barley’s Taproom & Pizzeria. The beer pours a hazy orange color with a medium white head that burns away steadily to an outer ring. Short strings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of grassy hops, fruit and malt. Light-bodied with flavors of floral hops, fruit and bready malt. The finish is mildly bitter with a short grassy hop aftertaste. Just average overall.

Sub standard yellow beer for the masses. Nothing offensive, but one of the more boring standard beers of the whole trip.

12oz can, big thanks to Alicia M for sharing! Mostly clear golden orange color. Thin off-white head. Dot or two of lace. Kind of a sweet, corn, caramel malt nose. Light body. Smooth, kind of crisp carbonation. Lightly dry. Aroma is corn, bread, caramel, light spicy peppery hop. Pretty decent balance to it, impressive flavor for a 3% beer. Light to moderate bitter taste, light sweet, more dry taste. Pretty impressive easy-drinking lager. Great flavor for how incredibly light this is. Closest thing I have to a light lager like this in Cincinnati is Cisco’s Sankaty Light, and this is way better than that. Much better malt balance, good full flavor to it.
